External hot desk user, mobile twinning & voicemail
« on: January 09, 2014, 12:05:00 PM »
Running into something strange here. Just moved users over to the EHDU (as our old MAS finally died). I've setup personal ring groups for the users so they can have mobile twinning & all that fun stuff still.

Normally, when a call comes in and its not answered, it'll get forwarded to an external voicemail system (x5000). Now, if the call isn't answered it goes right to the onboard voicemail of the 3300 not the external system.

I've changed the call rerouting but to no avail. Is there something I'm missing here?

You program a personal presence key with the EHDU DN.
When the EHDU is present in the group the button will be green, press it and it will make the EHDU absent from the group and the light will go out.

Ok, thx. Creating a personal presence key is not a problem. But is not working.

First I created a personal ring group that has the same number as my own extension number.
This number is then automatically member of the personal ringgroup.
I added my EHDU number.

After i created a personal presence key i could not switch on or off the twinning. The green light stays on as i programmed it with the status present in the Personal Ring Group.

I then tried to do it the other way around.
Create a Personal Ring Group that has the same number as the EHDU number added my extensionnumber.

Create a personal presence key with the EHDU DN. Then i was able to get the green light of and on but not EDHU switches of but extension number.

What am i doing wrong.

You need to enable the Group Presensing options in COS of the device.

The Personal Presence key has to be the member you want to switch on or off, so it would be your EHDU.
Your personal ring group is your main DN. Normally your deskphone.

I had created a presence key on my deskphone with the button dir. number of the EHDU.
And the personal ring group is my main DN

So the first member is my deskphone and the second member is the EHDU
