RAD problem
« on: August 21, 2012, 10:11:22 AM »
Hello to all
I am facing a problem which is very strange with the icp and rad implementation.
See below
Icp is an MxeIII
version is 10.2.0.26-2
I try to make rad for a welcome message. The message should be heard directly when customer calls and then music on hold should start.
I upload the wav file for the rad correctly in audio files update.
In Vm greetings settings are correct (port Id 20, rad set 20)
In Vm Rad settings i have out Rad set 20 and greeting 1 (i have put 20 also no change)
In class of service i use recorded announcement device is ok
I create a hunt group with the class of service i put the rad in. I try with hunt group circular or terminal no change.
I put settings first Rad 9019, priority 64 (or other no difference) and hunt group type : voice
I add the number i want in the hunt group (ps 517).
Rad is not working, number rings directly.
I have tried to let it ring 20 times thinking that maybe a timer existed in the class of service that made the rad delaying to answer, nothing no result.

I am getting crazy with this issue.
Users are complaining strongly
Do you have any idea what can happen?
Can you tell me if there is a way to troubleshoot this rad?

What i can tell you for sure is the fact that the wav file is uploaded in the icp.
Opening a backup file i have seen the vox file it creates.
I have rebooted the icp also. The same config works in other icps. The only difference i see is the fact that in License and option selection the networking option is not enabled in this icp.

Please help

Maybe I'm not entirely following, but why can't you use the Auto-Attendant for this function?

Additionally, this is the way a hunt group should work. If you cannot use the Auto-Attendant, create a ACD queue, with the agent group set to take calls even when there are no agents logged in. Then use the queue to play your RAD message and interflow after the length of the RAD to your hunt group.

If you dial the RAD number directly do you hear the message played?

I suspect that your RAD is in DND.
In maintenance commands enter "Loc Fe <rad-extn>" and see if it is.
If yes, use the remote DND clear command or the clear all features commands. (must be allow in COS)
Dial the extension number directly as martyn suggest will also show you if it's in DND.

Hello Ralph and Martyn
You are right the Rad is in DND
The problem is that i cannot find the "remote DND clear command" in maintenance commands.

It's not a maintenance command.   It's a code you have to dial from your phone.

Look in your feature access codes form to find the code.
Check your COS to be sure you're allowed to use it.
