Mitel 3300 Voicemail to Email
« on: December 29, 2011, 01:37:51 AM »
Hi,
I haven't recently change the IP address of my Mxe controller, and my voicemail to email function stopped working.
But it worked fine before.

I wonder where about in Exchange is set to accept email from the controller node?

Cheers,
Hannah

Look through your logs to see if you're getting rejected.   If you don't see any logs related to email then I'd look at the exchange server.   Logs only show up when the PBX thinks there's a problem.

Under the maintenance section there is a section for reading "all software and maintenance logs"

I do get error for when a VM is diverted to my mail box:
VPIM: CSMTPClientMsg::ProcessResult - Failed sending Voice Mail to Email: From Vpim: To Mailbox: 9388 To Domain: <EMAIL Deleted by Admin> File Name: N_V4efcdfc0.01b.
VPIM: CSMTPClientMsg::ProcessResult - Look into SOCKET error number <786434> <0> bytes transferred.

Where is the configuration in Exchange?

What version of Exchange? You will want to look at your receive connector in hub transport. You might have a relay restriction setup from the old ip and it just needs to be updated.

I deleted out the email address out of the log entry you posted.  No point in getting that address slammed with spam.

You can check your email server IP address assigned in the 3300 under "System Options Assignment".
Go to
  All Forms-->>System Options assignment

Yep this will be your problem. If it is Exchange 2007 or 2010 then you will have to modify the receive connector in hub transport, otherwise if it is exchange 2003 let us know as the procedure is different.

The receive connector only accepts mail from the IP addresses that it is told to allow from, especially as this is usually set up to allow anonymous relaying from internal hosts.
