MLAA and ring tone

I have a MLAA setup that routes calls to different extensions.

The problem is that the ring tone is always INTERNAL regardless of whether the call is an internal or external caller

Can this be changed?

Any help appreciated

What kind of trunks are you working with?
When you say the ring tone is always internal, what's ringing?   The extension you xfer to or the MLAA hunt group?

I have DASS trunks coming into a SX2000, then onward via DPNSS to the 3300.  THE MLAA answers and I press the appropriate option which goes to an extension.  This receiving extension hears an internal ring tone raegardless of whether it was an internal call from within our network OR an external incoming call via DASS.
