International calls fails on a E1 Pri trunk
« on: July 15, 2011, 09:56:28 AM »
Hi to everyone.
Guys i am having a problem making international calls through an E1 pri trunk. E1 trunk is installed on a 3300 CXi.
When i make international calls the provider is telling that they are receiving 9 digitd instead of 11 digits. Example i called 0031102411720 but they are receiving 00311024117 ! They ae telling that they are not receiving the last two digits.

I did a CCS trace to see what the system is sending out. (see trace below)

15:53:15 RO118 DPN 20 ISRM_I  ;10;*1#*50*555#*100*Kantine#*19*Z#
15:53:15 RO118 DPN 2D SSRM_I  *58*CW*uZtk@@@@@HG`YP#*58*C6*001#00311024117
15:53:15 RO118 DPN 3  SSRM_C  20

15:53:15 RI118 DPN 7  NIM     *51*3#
15:53:16 RI118 DPN F  NIM     *4*4#*240*`x`#
15:53:16 RI118 DPN 13 NAM     *4*4#*166*1 2 3 4#

Can someone help me with this.

Thanks in advanced

Check your ARS route.  Be sure the number of digits to follow is set to "Unknown"..

Hi Ralph,

In the ARS i programmed 0 for the outsite line and than 00 for international calls and unknown for the digits to be insert.
So the ARS is: 000 Unknown <termination poin>
The modification table only absorbs 1 digits and that is the 0 for the outsite dialtone.

Thanks,

What version of software are you running?
NSU or embedded?

For grins, set up a test route to go to 0-0031102411720 with 0 digits to follow.  You should be able to point it to the same route term.  See what happens then.

Ralph,

The provider can support min 8 and max 15 digits.
They are receiving the whole string 001#00311024117 (15 digits) that is why the call cannot complete. the prodiver support max 15 digits they are not receiving the last 2 digits. 0031102411720 (13 digits) 001#0031102411720 (17 digits)

Do you know how the disable the 001# infront of the destination number ?

Try setting the call type as unknown

I would think that we'd have to send the 001 so we can tell the carrier that it's an international call.
Are you saying they don't want to see the 001?

You can experiment with the direct trunk select feature code.
Direct select a trunk and then try dialing without the additional numbers.
Not a permanent fix but something to play with.

I'm not sure on this next part but,
under the ISDN protocol form change the 'enable unknown TON/NP'.
That will reset the link but and you may then have to add {1} for local calls.
Play with that for a bit to see what happens.

Just reviewed with v2win.
He's talking about the TON/NP setting.

Try that.

Hi guys,

Well  the problem is solved. When pragramming the isdn on the mitel 3300, there is an option you can check ENBLOC.
I check this option and it start working.
The point is that the system was sending the whole string  "001#0031102411720"  and the provider could only received max 15 digits.
When i check the option ENBLOC in the isdn protocol is start working.
