How to register a 5302
« on: April 07, 2011, 04:51:18 PM »
Good Afternoon everyone,

I am trying register a 5302 with my 3300 and are having issues. We are not using any SIP trunks, we are just using them as devices going through our PRI... I am not sure on how do to this and do not have access to Mitels KB. Can someone please reply with the steps you must go through to register it with my controller.

Thank you

http://edocs.mitel.com/UG/EN/5302_QRG.pdf

If you can access edocs there is the link. If all three lights are flashing you just need to pin it with whatever your set registration code is and DN.

A word of advise and dont take it the wrong way but save yourself some headaches and get rid of the 5302s for at least 5304s.

By the way I take no responsibility for bricked 5302s.

yeah we really did not want to use the 5302's but was not our decision of course... We have done the above and still will not register

Are you running LLDP or CDP on the switches? I can't remember off hand but some of the lower model phones do not support either of those protocols.

Try putting it on a switchport that is on the same vlan as the 3300

I cant remember what options they use if its the 125 or the older 128-130 options

Yeah I have had to put in static reservations for them as well as untagged on the phone network.
