Another call forwarding question...
« on: March 22, 2011, 10:14:16 AM »
How is this even possible?

We have a lot of sales people forward their office phones to the personal cell phones.  If they miss the call on the cell, the voicemail for the office phone pickups.  How is this even possible?  Once the call is forwarded...hasn't it left the Mitel system?

How would i set it so their voicemail is left on the cell phone?  I was thinking about using a first alternate to a speed dial, that would call the persons cell.

Let me know what you think.

thanks

-Evan

Depending on the trunks you have, the Mitel will still control the call until there is answer supervision.
So, if your call goes out a PRI, the Mitel knows it hasn't been answer and will recall it and send it to VM.

The timer that controls this is in the COS of the phone that was called.
Find the COS of the phone, edit it, go to the bottom of the page and scroll up until you find "Call forward no answer timer" and extend it out.
