Mitel 3300 LX Not Working
« on: March 07, 2011, 03:02:00 PM »
When I go to load a backup on my Mitel 3300 LX I get the message that the sysro.tar file cannot be extracted due to a bad checksum.  I have also noticed that the system is not as loud as it was before having issues.  The side fans are not turning but everything else appears normal outside of the restore issues I am having.

Any ideas out there?

Would you happen to have another backup you can try?  Even if it was out of date?
I'd like to narrow it down to: is it the backup or the controller.   If another backup works then the controller is ok.

You may also have to re-install the software load.   Wouldn't be my first choice but if you can't get any backup to load then before replacing the controller I'd try that.

I should clarify things.  I can't get the software to load.  The controller pulls the first small file Lite8260.tar and extracts it no problem but when it gets to the next file it pulls fine but when it tries to extract the file I get the checksum error.  The same software loads without a problem on the spare that I had to replace the bad one with.

Ah.
At that point I might try a different hard drive.
You could also try backing out any DSP or echo cancelers you have in there to be sure that's not creating the problem.
