Call Rerouting
« on: November 27, 2010, 01:08:02 PM »
Guys,

I programm an ip phone with the number 8585. This number will not be registered on any ip phone.
Is it possible to reroute this number to another extenshon for example 8333 which is register?

What i want is that when users call 8585 this will reroute the callers to 8333.

Thanks,

Gimitel

Hi,

Three options here,

create a ring group and add the relevant extensions to that group

create a multicall button on all the phones for that option

add a phantom extension and apply cfwd always to relevant phones

A fourth option is to create a system speed dial with an actual number of 8333.

when you call any extension and thandis is not registered tha call will be rerouting to any point. in the form Intercept Handling Assigment the option Directory number out of service.
then assigment the number of intercept to extension 8585.

On smaller systems I typically have what I call my junk phone.  This is a 5340 programmed that has no actual phone and is used for all kinds of things like this via key assignments.  That said, Ralph is right, system speed call is the easy answer....
