5320e trunk lines not lit
« on: May 02, 2018, 02:47:05 PM »
I setup at 5320e which will be a teleworker. I setup the phone without issue, gave it 2 keymaps, buttons 10-16 are trunk lines, 17-19 are extensions, and 20 is Feature Code 399 to switch keymaps, thus giving me 20 buttons on the phone  ;)

However the trunk line keys aren't lighting when in use like our 5324s do. The extension keys do light when in use however.

Pro tip: rename feature code 399 as Next Page and assign it to one of the unlighted keys.

The end user will press Next Page for more buttons, and it's irrelevant if they're on the primary or alternate keymap.

Good call on renaming 399! Once I was told of my derp moment I did exactly that and moved my Trunk lines to the bottom and the 399 feature code, and 2 extensions to the top buttons.

Thanks for the help! I wish you could reassign the useless page buttons on the 5320e. Talk about unnecessary software limiting just to sell more expensive phones... I don't see why they limit the number of pages on the lower end phones. I understand leaving out features like the headset module bits, and the 2nd row of buttons, but the page limit just seems silly to me.
