Activate Headset on 5212
« on: August 14, 2017, 09:29:20 AM »
Hi all,

I'm having trouble accessing the headset on the 5212 series.

I've plugged the headset into the back and tried the code 317 (i believe) but my phone just says invalid and gives the long dialling tone.

Any ideas?

Normally you would program a key "Headset" .

If you're using a conventionial headset (not Mitel integrated headset) pressing 317 puts the phone in headset mode (or back out).  In that mode you go off-hook to answer or make calls by pressing the speaker key.  Speakerphone is not usable while in headset mode.

samclarke,

Go to System > Devices and Feature Codes > Feature Codes > Headset On/Off [Default: 317] and see if it still is set to default; my guess it is not.

Thanks,

TE

samclarke,

You my friend on in the wrong forum. This is a screenshot of a 3300 not a MiVO-250. I will get you over to that forum to get the correct answer.

Unfortunately those feature codes are programmable and I haven't seen it done the same way twice yet and different technicians use different defaults for that; sorry.

You are in the correct locations by the way for feature codes, but I don't think there is one for headsets; at least not on the 6900 series phones which is all I have seen on the 3300 so far.

Thanks,

TE

As gthardeman suggests, you can go in to the extension and program a headset key, if they have an open key available.

In the 3300 the Feature Access Code is Multiline Headset On and Multiline Headset Off.
