can not CFWD 6940
« on: February 20, 2019, 05:40:33 PM »
I have several 6940's and the system will not allow me to fwd to an internal extension nor an outgoing. Is there a setting in the mivoice 250 that enables or disables call fwd?

How are you trying to set the call forward, just done it on one here and I pressed.

Cog button for settings
Press Call Forward
Enter a destination for the Call Forward type then put a tick in the box to turn it on
Then pressed save

Works fine for me.

Cheers.

Yes, I have tried it like that as well as the TopSoft keys. I have tried Immediate, NA, Busy. none of which works.

RLyon,

Is DEE setup and turned on for that user? Nothing technically disables System Forwarding, but DEE does override it.

Thanks,

Are you using the phones in conjunction with Phone Manager or as SIP endpoints directly connected to the 250?

RLyon,

What is the error you are getting; if anything?

Thanks,

Can you even manually forward a SIP Station?  I have never tried.

Mitel said the reason is that the phones were in a hunt group and with sip phones I guess it has to be a direct line. You can not forward to a sip phone thats in a hunt group.. Is there a way around this. I would like to keep my phones in the hunt group but still be able to forward to them

I think the confusion here is that Hunt groups ignore the forwarding of phones. The issue of it being a SIP phone is irrelevant for that.

If you set a direct line to that phone you should be able to forward it.

If you set the phone to forward to an internal extension and call it from another phone does it work?

Hunt group calls will follow a manually forwarded intercom call, but won't forward off-site.

At least that's how it works with phones actually designed to work on the system.

How is the call presented to the station? From what I'm seeing here it sounds like the phone is a member of group of some sorts, if that's the case forwarding on that station won't really apply like you might think. If a did or another station calls the forwarded station directly does it  work okay?
