SIP On Mitel / 6940W - MINet to SIP conversion, anyone got 6940w.st file?
« Last post by jwadd215 on March 01, 2025, 10:10:35 AM »
Hello,

I have a 6940W on 02.00.01.013 REV B11 and I am struggling to find a way to flash the firmware from MiNet 6940W to SIP.

The phone is brand new and I am planning on uisng it with a third party SIP provider to replace a 6873i, I have tried the help guides from Ring Central but it doesn't download the SIP firmware.

Does anyone have a copy or know where I can get the SIP firmware for a 6940W?

Thanks,
James.

Thanks @acejavelin!

Appreciate you pointing me in the right direction with sourcing parts.

Having the forum has been a huge help in processing / onboarding this client.

Thanks, good advice all!

We decided to upgrade all systems overnight to Rev 10 and the compatible levels of MBG and MiCollab.
Migration Tool - we decided to take the hardware controllers from 7.2 to 10.0 in one shot.  The first one took 3.5 hours to process and failed in Restore.  (Thankfully, Mitel Support was able to recover that for us.)  The second one took 4.5 hours to complete.  The IP Phones seemed to take forever to come back up and register, I wish I had timed how long. It seemed like hours for a mere 90 phones.
The virtual systems were much smoother, and since we had control over processor power we made them a little 'beefy' to finish faster.  MiCollab required two upgrades to get from MAS 5 to 9.8 - but since we had extra processing power it did not take forever, thankfully.  (I have heard a one step upgrade for that can take 4 hours to process.)

After that marathon, we have a little pause before moving everything to AWS.

Yes, the person who had this customer account before did apologize for giving me this beast, lol.

Sorry to hear, that really sucks.

I don't think I can be of any help as I'm based in Australia.

Wish you the best in your search.

Mitel Software Applications / Re: MiCC Database SMDR Data Queries
« Last post by mauka on February 24, 2025, 06:43:45 PM »
I normally do this differently and look at the raw SMDR data. Text files (zip after certain age) are stored in the Node directory of the PABX, usually Node_1.

So if you look in C:\Program Files (x86)\Mitel\MiContact Center\DataDirectory\Node_01 there will be files starting with "s" followed by date, this is the SMDR file for that date. e.g. s20250221.txt

You might be able to start with that.

I see the raw SMDR files on the MiCC server and it looks like the table in the database has the same data - and possibly even more detail. The SQL query is faster to execute in this case when are unsure about the date range but for the life of my I can't find anything out there that explicitly confirms what the tblData_LC_Trace table is for.

I usually would set up a network zone with a lbn prefix and make 911 a location based number. Then send the lbn prefix where it needs to go via emergency routes.

Thanks!  I'll look into doing this the same way when I get access.
