Can anyone recommend a good VPN service that would work well outside the US?

Thanks,

Guys,

Does anyone have a way to auto install the AWC portion of a MiCollab Client unattended installation?

Thanks,

Guys,

It seems as though the 3300 is always sending out the same screening indicator [0x80] for calls that are being propagated back out to the user's cell via twinning. How do I change this setting to [0x81] on a PRI for calls being propagated back out to the users cell via twinning within the 3300?

Q.931 Screening Indicators:
•0x80 = Allowed, user provided, not screened
•0x81 = Allowed, used provided, passed network screening
•0x82 = Allowed, used provided, failed network screening
•0x83 = Allowed, user provided, network provided

Thanks,

TE

Guys,

I have two separate scenarios that I am not sure the 3300 is capable of doing or how to do them if it is. Both scenarios are for external calls only and although I would know how to do this on the MiVO-250 I am unable to figure out how the 3300 could possibly do this.

[Scenario 1]

Call Type: External - Incoming calls from an external caller.

The user doesn't want outside calls to ring their phone, but they want some sort of visual indication that external calls are ringing their desk so they can pick up the call if they want to. Their current system call this voicemail interrupt.

They do however want to allow internal calls to ring through so they can answer them.

[Scenario 2]

Call Type: External - Incoming calls from an external caller.

The user wants to be able to enable/disable via a button external calls from ringing their phone and send them directly to voice mail.

They do however want to allow internal calls to ring through so they can answer them.

If anyone could explain how to do either one of these or something close to it then please explain it in detail so an idiot like me can understand it. If it is unable to do either one or even something along those lines could you explain why so I can pass that along too.

Thanks,

TE

Guys,

Is there a way to get the Transfer/Conference button to show up in the In-Call Window for the SIP Softphone? I currently have the Hold, Hangup, and Handoff buttons, but I can't seem to figure out what is needed for the Transfer/Conference button to show up.

I have made the following changes:
1. Changed from Generic SIP to UC Endpoint
2. Created a second appearance of the DN under keys and made it MultiCall
3. Verified that is it using SIP Device Capabilities 71
4. Verified that both of the HTCI options were checked under the COS
5. Enabled Hotdesk - Allow Midcall Features on COS

None of these changes seems to have an affect on the issue. I looked at several forum posts about this issue, but none that I found seemed to post a resolution.

Mitel Software Applications / Mitel MiVoice Skype for Business Plugin
« on: June 15, 2017, 07:28:28 AM »
Guys,

I have installed the Skype plugin on several machines and it doesn't give access to the Deskphone, but it does give access to the users Softphone if they have one. If I uninstall the plugin and install the full MiCollab Client I have access to both the Deskphone and the Softphone.

Does anyone know if it is supposed to work with the Deskphone and if so how do I get it to recognize the Deskphone.

Thanks,

TE

Guys,

I have been handed a new installation for the first ever MiVoice Business Express installation in our company. Are there any issues or installation "gotchas" that would be handy to know about prior to starting this?

I also have a vMBG for new SIP trunks that their current PRI will be ported over to; in case that makes a difference.

Thanks,

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Calls on Hold
« on: May 26, 2017, 10:26:50 AM »
Guys,

What controls the call after it is put on hold.

The issue I have is a customer puts a call on hold. The hold timer expires [60 sec] and then sits there and rings indefinitely until they answer it. It does not go anywhere is the person called their DID prior to being put on hold.

As I am new to the 3300 I have no idea what timers react with each other. In my thinking the caller should go to either the users Attendant or to Voice Mail if they don't get picked up after a specified amount of time, but I have no idea what the options are.

Guys,

We just cut the phone system over yesterday and the customer started using their twinning with the following results.

If they make an extension to extension call it is sent out to their cell phone with +1{DN}. For example of the originating callers DN is 2645 then the cell phone gets a call from +1-264-5.

Does anyone know of a way to get it to send the originating callers DID?

Another issue we had is when a call goes across the network, St. Louis to Kansas, the number sent to the cell is the BTN of the originating caller. For example a call from St. Louis would be 1-314-645-XXXX [BTN] instead of the originating callers DID.

Does anyone know of a way to get it to send the originating callers DID?

Thanks,

Guys,

What are the "rules" for importing forms? Every time I try to import the form it gets stuck at 7% and won't go any further no matter how long I wait. I assume that there are some rules as to what can and can't be changed, but the validation tool didn't show any problems.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Automatic Dial 8
« on: May 21, 2017, 10:15:19 PM »
Guys,

Is there a way to make the 3300 perform the same function as House Phone on a MiVO-250 to a automatically dial an 8 for Outgoing?

Almost every analog port on the Inter-Tel Axxess is setup this way and they have over 5 SLC-16s in the system.

Thanks,

TE

Guys,

We have a 3300 replacing an Axxess with a Long Distance T-1 E&M Wink Start. It works fine on the Axxess, but we can't get it to work on the 3300.

What are the typical settings to program an E&M T-1 in the 3300?

*******UPDATE********
Alright, I will be the first to say that I know absolutely nothing about programming a 3300 compared to a 5000. That being said I started at the beginning and read through every attribute that could be associated with the E&M T-1 and finally found the issue with Release Link Trunk not being set to E&M. Reading the description I am not sure how that would cause my issue, but it did "seem" to fix it.

What I was getting was no audio and then a time out on the call.

What I am currently getting is:
Dial LD Call [8-1-202-633-1000] it strips the 8 and sends it out the LD T-1. I heard a short "beep" tone and then a long pause of silence [~10-12 sec] before hearing ringing. The audio is fine and the call clears ok.

If anyone knows how to eliminate the tone and long pause that would be wonderful, but it does work.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Charter SIP Trunks [Solved]
« on: January 26, 2017, 07:33:34 AM »
Anyone,

Does anyone have a document or configuration settings for setting up Charter SIP Trunks on a 3300? Has anyone made this work on a 3300?

Thanks,

Issue: Communication Error
The client can see what the attached phone is doing and tracks calls as expected. When the user changes their Presence Profile, such as to DND, it doesn't actually put the phone into DND. If the user manually puts the phone into DND it sees that the phone has made a change and the caution symbol updates to let you know it, but if you click on it to fix the issue it doesn't.

If I set a Presence Profile and then restart the server when it comes up it changes the state of the phone to what it is supposed to be as per the last change to the Presence Profile. So if it is put into DND and then the server is reset then it puts the phone into DND and Removes them from any UCD Hunt Groups when the server comes back up. If I try to make another change to the Presence Profile it is ignored until another reset.

Mitel and Xarios haven't found the problem nor have they ever seen the problem before! I have gone over all the basic steps to verify that it is setup correctly with both Mitel and Xarios.

MCS: Version 4.3.13
Server: Virtual MS Server 2012 R2
Client License: Outlook

1. Licensed for OAI and 3rd party OAI
2. Turned on Level 2 OAI
3. Verified OAI Password
4. Verified creation of Users for the phones of the users with phone manager.
5. Reset the Server
6. Reinstalled the clients

I figured out would send this out to the community and see what comes back.

Thanks,

TE

OS: Microsoft Server 2012 R2
CSM: 6.2

Issue: Applications such as Realviewer or Real-Time Reporter Pro were unable to access the database directory after the server's IP Address had changed.

Resolution: Open up Regedit and verify and/or change the following entry.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
-SOFTWARE
--Wow6432Node
---Mitel
----CSM
-----Server
------Database
-------RemoteServerName   REG_SZ   {server IP Address} <- This IP Address will not change when the PC IP Address changes. Apparently this is a known, but undocumented issue.

Close out of Regedit and start up Realviewer or any application and verify that it is now able to see the database.
