Mitel Software Applications / MiCollab - Reconcile Wizard Issue
« on: April 29, 2020, 04:12:48 PM »
Mitel Gurus,

I have the latest version of MiCollab 9.1.3.12 and performing a System Synchronization with the MCD it requires a Reconciliation; as expected.

The issue we are seeing is that the MiCollab is recognizing itself as a required Network Element and it wants to setup Sharing, which stops the ability to have the MiCollab Integration Wizard work.

So, we reloaded the MiCollab DB and started over and ran the MiCollab Integration Wizard first and then had the MCD perform a Synchronization; which then required the Reconciliation as expected.

It still sees the MiCollab as an Element that it needs to setup a Network Element for, but I have never seen that prior to version 9.1 and neither has anyone else at my company.

Has anyone seen this happen on their installations with MiCollab 9.1.3.12?

Thanks,

TE

Guys,

Does anyone know or have they tried putting a DECT Headset on a phone along with the M695 PKM?

Are there any catch-22's like I can only have 2 PKMs now since with a DECT Headset?

Thanks,

3300 Techs,

Here is a question I am not sure how to answer and I am not positive this would be the correct forum or if it should be in the Application forum.

A user has a Prime DN of 1234 and several Non-Prime DN Multicall Keys that Ring [2911] or Delay Ring [2732, 2833] based on answer patterns.

The Prime DN is soon to be routed through MiCollab's MBG to be Recorded by MiVCR [OAISYS] for all of its calls.

Will the calls they answer on the Non-Prime DN Multicall Keys be recorded the same as it was on their Prime DN?

If they wouldn't be how would you setup the Non-Prime DNs to ring the phone the way they currently do but actually be answered by their Prime DN so it is recorded by the MiVCR?

Thanks,

TE

AD Gurus

Does anyone know what they co attribute has to be set to in order for it be considered a valid Country?

The customer changed it from being empty to [United States of America] and then to [US], but neither one of the seems to be what MiCollab is looking for?

***UPDATE***

So, Mitel stated, "Checked internally and I would suggest you to wipe out the country attribute in mappings (Just delete it in IDS mappings). Most of the sites don't really use it.
Let me know, if that helps!"

After removing the co Attribute from the settings, you have to do this one both pages by the way, and performing a re-initialization on next sync solved the problem; sort of. Now, if the co attribute is being used by an International customer then I have no idea how to resolve it since changing the attribute to different versions of United States didn't seem to fix it.

Mitel Software Applications / NuPoint - UM-SMTP - From Address
« on: March 10, 2020, 11:00:36 AM »
MiCollab-Nupoint Guys,

I have a new system going in and the customer is wanting to know if there is a way to have the UM-SMTP messages send with a custom (static) email address; example. voicemail@customersite.com.

Is there a way to do this or are they stuck with the From Address showing the phone number?

Thanks,

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / 5485 IP Paging Unit
« on: March 10, 2020, 06:43:21 AM »
Guys,

Alright I figured out that I can download the firmware from the vMCD by logging in with FileZilla and going to /var/mitel-phoneloads/tftp. I also found out that is uses ipp510bootEnc.bin and ipp510main.bin for it firmware.

What I am not sure about is what type of licensing it takes to make it work since I am not on site and can't test it prior to sending it the remote technician.

Can I make the 5485 IP Paging Unit a Trusted Device and it still work when I do a Direct Voice Page to it or the Page Group it is in or do I need to have a Full or Multi-Device License for this device to work?

Thanks,

TE

MIVCR Gurus,

Does anyone know the URL that the MiVCR tries to access for its licensing? I am getting an error that it can't reach the site, but I don't know what to tell the firewall administrator.

I have looked in the Installation manual, Engineering Guidelines, and the Administration manual with no luck.

Thanks,

TE

Anyone,

After performing a Sync with AD it pulled in several hundred users; like it was supposed to do. The issue was the AD didn't have all of the information needed for each user so they deleted all of the detained entries; even the ones that were correct. Now it won't pull in any of the users that were previously deleted in the detained entries, but a new ones come in just fine.

How do you get it to allow those deleted entries to be resynchronized into the system without making changes to each one in AD? Is there a file someone that I can delete to remove the restriction on those that have been deleted previously and haven't been updated?

Would deleting the IDS entry for that AD and recreating it do the trick?

Thanks,

TE

Mitel Guru's,

Has anyone setup an MCD with a Bright House SIP Carrier that uses an AudioCodes Mediant IAD for their interface? They are saying that they need 3 IP Addresses from the customer.

1. An IP Address on the local network
2. An IP Address that they can send Options packets to for a keep-a-live, but it can't be the MCD and it needs to send a 200 OK. This seems odd to me.
3. The IP Address of the MCD.

The technician we were talking to from Spectrum says that they are using the old Bright House way of doing things on the East Coast and so it is not the same as the Legacy Charter setup. We obviously were not able to make it work since they didn't understand what they really needed to make it work.

Thanks,

TE

Mitel Standard Linux Gurus,

Has anyone ever run into this issue.

Symptom: Not able to access the MBG via the web interface, but can see it is up and running in the VMware console.

Testing:
1. Logged in the VMware console with admin account and checked to see if it can get to the AMC; Failed.
2. Look through the Configuration Setup and everything shows what it is supposed to be.
3. Logged in as root account and tried to ping the gateway; Failed.
4. Logged in as root account and verified the ifconfig; shows IP Address as 0.0.0.0!!!
5. Reboot the system to see if that fixed the problem; Fail - states the IP Address is in use elsewhere on the network.
6. Shut down the server and scanned the network; nothing else has that IP Address.
7. Started the server back up and saw the same issue; Fail - states the IP Address is in use elsewhere on the network.
8. Logged in as root account and verified interface; shows IP Address 0.0.0.0
9. Manually configured the IP Address to what it should be via ifconfig; Now can log into web interface.
10. Rebooted server and saw the same issue again; Fail - states the IP Address is in use elsewhere on the network.

Has anyone else run into this situation and if so what was the cause and fix?

Thanks,

TE

Guys,

I have 3 trunking issues on this system.

The system has CenturyLink IQ SIP Trunks and the customer has been experiencing the following issues.

1a. Calls that come into the system and get transferred back out of the system on another trunk will give a "Ringing You Back" message on the phone after 30 seconds if the number called doesn't answer before that time.

1b. Calls transferred from the Primary Controller to the Secondary Controller to go out trunks there will recall the transferring station with "Ringing You Back" message on the phone after 30 seconds if the number called doesn't answer before that time.

I looked for a 30 second timer in the phones CoS and the SIP Trunks CoS and didn't find anything at 30 seconds that would cause that problem.

ANSWER: Set the Phone, MiCC Port and Trunk CoS with the following: Suppress Simulated CCM after ISDN Progress - No, No Answer Recall: 125. What got me was the Suppress Simulated CCM after ISDN Progress since the Golden Rules stated that you had to have that turned on or it caused an alarm.

2. Call that get transferred back out to an external number no longer show the CPN Substitution that the customer wants on all outbound calls; instead it shows the Default CPN of the SIP Trunk.

The default CPN of the SIP Peer Profile has to be set to the CenturyLink IQ Trunk ID or you get a 404 error message so changing that doesn't work. If a call goes out normally the CPN Substitution works as expected. I have tried setting all of the Calling Line ID flags and the only thing I could get to happen was sending out the callers original number if I set Public Calling Party Number Passthrough was set, but the customer doesn't want to send out anything other than their CPN Substitution numbers.

ANSWER: IF you have only one Trunk with CenturyLink you can do the following: Set the P-Asserted Identity for Billing - Yes, Default CPN - [What number the customer wants to see going out], Override From Header with Default CPN, Under Zone - Default CPN for Billing - Set to [CenturyLink Trunk ID]. If you have more than one trunk I couldn't figure out how to force the call to look at Zone 2, 3. or 4 so I couldn't get it to work that way for the remaining 3. What I ended up doing was creating a SIP Adaption file that removed the P-Asserted Identity that was outpulsed and replaced it with {CenturyLinkTrunkID}@voip.centurylink.com. I had to create a custom one for each trunk as the Trunk ID obviously isn't the same on each one.

3. If a user makes a call out of the system and puts the call on Hold for 45 seconds or longer the audio does not get connected back up. The indicator that it should have been connected back up is that MoH is no longer played to the person on hold.

If they put the call back on hold after experiencing this problem MoH is no longer heard. If the call is hung up on either end the other side is notified right away; so signalling is good. I have tried transferring the call and putting it on hold and picking it back up and nothing seems to work. If someone calls into the system and gets put on hold they can be picked up with no issues. I have had an inbound call on hold for the full 180 seconds for the ring back and I am still able to pick the call up with no issue. I even tried setting the SIP Peer Profile SDP flag Avoid Signaling Hold to the Peer to No in order to notify the other side when Hold has been set on the 3300 and it didn't make a difference.

Any help or thoughts on narrowing down the issues would be appreciated!

Thanks,

TE

Mitel Software Applications / MiCC IVR External Transfer Issue
« on: June 18, 2019, 09:01:20 AM »
Guys,

Here is another one I can't seem to wrap my head around. If I have an external transfer to a 10-digit local number or a Long Distance number 1+ it seems to go out just fine.

If I have an external transfer to a 1-8XX number then it always adds 011 to the front of it. Where do I fix this issue at?

Thanks,

Mitel Software Applications / MiCollab Client Group Chat

Guys,

I had a customer ask this question and I can't seem to find an answer about this.

How many people can you have in a group chat?

Thanks,

Guys,

Alright, I am having a time with this issue and I can't seem to figure out how to make this happen.

We have an ITSP: Century Link that is requiring that the host portion of the P-Asserted-Identity be set as an FQDN: voip.centurylink.com for INVITEs instead of the IP Address of the MCD or MBG.

The first thing I thought was to setup the Alternate FQDN under the Call Routing tab, but that sends out the REGISTRATION request with the FQDN: voip.centurylink.com and they don't like that; they send back a 404 response.

The other unfortunate problem is that voip.centurylink.com is not a valid DNS entry that we can work with so I had to setup a secondary domain on the MBG and then set that to one of the public IPs for Century Link just to do the test, but that leaves out the second public IP that is used for failover.

Has anyone ever run in to this situation before?

Thanks,

TE

MiCC Guys,

Alright, I have an entry in a menu to do a Blind Transfer to the variable <<LastCollectedDigits>>, but whenever I dial a valid extension is just hangs up on me.

If I do a Blind Transfer to an Extension it seems to work just fine.

What am I missing here?

Thanks,

TE
