MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: Restoring new flash card from backups

Yes... assuming you have sufficient changes to justify the additional restore.

Mitel SX200, SX2000, and older SX platforms / Re: SX-200 EL

No... licensing for those was discontinued many years ago.

Your CF card is toast... get a new one and restore a backup... That is the only thing to do. You have to get one from Mitel as they are have a special format and an embedded SYSID code that will have to be transferred in AMC for the license.

Guess I am not sure... it look completely loaded... can you not open https://192.168.1.2/server-manager from a PC with a static IP in that subnet?

SIP On Mitel / Re: Alarm lines on ATA's
« on: January 28, 2024, 08:02:47 PM »
We have tried this off and on for years on our hosted platform and now we just say no to any attempt at alarm lines on SIP lines... It always fails, even if not initially, so now we either make the customer move to an "alternate" method (usually IP and/or cellular) or traditional telco lines. We can get faxes working with 99% reliability but alarm lines are just a hassle.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: How do multiple COS apply?
« on: January 24, 2024, 03:05:46 PM »
The answer is it varies depending on what is applied to what... Each feature can have different interactions depending on where it is applied. COS is a "Can or Cannot do" kind of thing in most cases. The documentation for each feature tells you how it applies in the Conditions sections for the most part.

SIP On Mitel / Re: Configure SIP Account on 5320e while in SIP mode
« on: January 20, 2024, 10:12:50 PM »
Hi, I'm still a little new to this kind of thing. When trying to downgrade my Mitel 5330 version do I use all the files in the drive link https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1H1Im6Qp7DsJNAYY2TQ8IrL99tI2iXSTj?usp=sharing or do I only use one file?
You would setup an TFTP share with those files (all of them is normal, but the phone actually uses about 8 of them I think, its been a long time) and point the phone to the TFTP server, it will pull the files it needs.

Alright... This turned out to be easier than I thought, those three specific ports on the Grandstream were not registered. They appeared to be registered on the GS port status but in the Mitel they showed LOCKED AuthFailure (but they could place calls out?!?!). Rebooting the Grandstream then showed them as not registered and I reset the sip password many times and couldn't get it to clear. Finally I removed the extensions from the GS until SIP EXT xxx didn't show the LOCKED message anymore (about 10 minutes) then put them back into the GS with the same credentials (copy and pasted) and they showed registered in both the Mitel and Grandstream and everything worked as expected. Very weird...

Any difference if you put the devices in a Personal Ring Group instead of an MDUG? I know I have working PRG
I am going to go onsite tomorrow and investigate further, I will let you know... It's all been remote for the last week with temps in the negative double digits and being over an hour away.

So I haven't done a Mitel installation for a long time, and this is the first one I have done that purely virtual and the analogs are all SIP extensions on a 48-port Grandstream...

I have a few instances where the Single Line SIP extensions are not ringing as part of groups.

First one is a 6930 desk phone and an analog cordless connected to a SIP extension on a Grandstream device (Full Service, stand-alone extension)... Calling the analog cordless directly works fine as does calling the 6930 desk phone, but if you call the Ring Group that is set to Ring All that contains both devices, only the 6930 rings.

For another user, we built a MDUG with a 6930 and a SIP extension both setup as Multi-User Devices under the same user, both can make calls fine, but when you call the Prime DN, only the deskphone rings and not the SIP analog extension.

Is there something unique about single line SIP extensions here? I am a little confused as to why this isn't working... I haven't done a MiVB install for a long time, but I have done hundreds and don't recall ever running across this before...

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: Database Reporting - Extension Lists
« on: January 10, 2024, 10:19:55 AM »
It is not the expected behavior... Make sure you have a current backup and it is selected in MSA&D, and go to Database Reporting, Standard Reports, Extension Lists, and verify all the options are set to yes...

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: Call History on 6930 sets
« on: January 05, 2024, 09:30:45 PM »
The built-in Call History on the 6900 sets only shows history on the prime line.
Kind of what I figured... Thanks for confirming.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Call History on 6930 sets
« on: January 05, 2024, 01:56:05 PM »
I recently did a new install of a MiVoice Business 3300 in a medical facility, and it's been working well but the IT guy got ahold of me today and said that the call history on the 6930 phones isn't showing "second missed calls" meaning when they are on a call and a second call rings in on the Multicall appearance of the prime DN of the phone, it doesn't show in the phones embedded call history as a missed call, but if I give them a Call History key via the Mitel server it shows the calls there. Anyway to adjust this behavior in the 6930 set's embedded Call History application or am I going to have to put Call History keys on a hundred sets?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: An MBG, SIP Trunk, and IVR Challenge
« on: December 27, 2023, 10:06:06 AM »
CPN Restriction should not matter...

Make some of the changes I mentioned, then look at the invite... when you get a combination that shows the FROM field as the caller and the P-Asserted-Identity field is your main/billing number, you have the right combination and it's up to your carrier to pass that through.

YOU are sending it incorrectly...

Make sure "Public Calling Party Number Passthrough" and/or "Use Original Calling Party Number If Available" is set to YES in your SIP Peer Profile... Be aware this might directly conflict with "Use Diverting Party Number as Calling Party Number" which you have enabled.

Basically you have 4 options here that you are going to have to mess with to get the correct presentation (assuming the carrier allows it)...

Override From Header with Default CPN
Public Calling Party Number Passthrough
Use Diverting Party Number as Calling Party Number
Use Original Calling Party Number If Available

This may just require some experimentation to get the exact results wanted.
