I have found on some of these it's easier to setup an email address with the ISP and relay through them...

Most people use the Set Install or Replacement PIN...

Connect the phone to the network and allow it to connect to the 3300... if the MAC address isn't recognized, it will show ask for the PIN... like "ENTER PIN AND PRESS HOLD" or something similar (exact verbiage/key depends on set type), and enter the Install PIN (*** in most default installations, but you could check your system options form) and the extension.

So if the new extension is x1234, when the phone comes to the PIN screen enter ***1234(HOLD) and the MAC address of that device will be associated with that user in the system and the phone will come online... If it is replacing an existing user, the Set Replacement PIN (### in many installations) can be used instead, say if the phone on x1222 went bad and needed to be replaced, disconnect it and install the new set, and when it gets to the PIN screen, enter ###1222(HOLD) and the MAC on that user will be swapped with the new set.  Note this only works if the set type (5330, 5360, 6930, etc) are correct and match to the set.

Well, it still is failing back to the other IP address, is this a case where I need to clear the info from the phone itself too? I'll try that when I have more time to tinker this weekend. This is a home-lab system and will eventually be connected to the retro-phone CNet network
The phones will all need to be rebooted... They get this information at boot if I recall correctly.

What is the output of "LOCATE FEATURE EXTENSION xxxx" in Maintenance Commands where xxxx is the user's extension number?

Tough sell, for 5330/5340 (non-E models) you can get these for under $40 each refurbished with a warranty from US sellers.

When we decommission old sets or systems, 5330/5340 phones go to the dumpster... As do most 5330e/5340e phones, we only keep a handful of ones that look really good. Just no value in them.

That said, Montreal is a pretty big metropolitan area, maybe you can move them locally as shipping would make even getting them free questionable.

Outbound Caller ID issue maybe?

"Invalid" is an error... "Access Denied" is a COR issue.

I am not familiar with those hearing aids, but have seen a few that require a intermediate interface... Maybe reach out to the hearing aid supplier and check. The Bluetooth in the 6930 is pretty standard, although older standard... but Bluetooth headsets "should" support older revisions of Bluetooth, it's part of the standard.

Mitel Software Applications / Re: Oaisys Migration and Rebuild
« on: February 15, 2024, 05:39:12 PM »
August 1, 2022, was end of Add-on/Expansion sales (ie. licensing)... This would fall in that category... I don't think what you are wanting to do is viable. The existing system will run as is until the end of license date, but MiVoice Call Recording is a dead product. I have another larger customer in a similar situation... we have yet to come up with a viable solution as their phone system is discontinued as well.

Mitel Interaction Recording is the official replacement platform for this... but if you are migrating away it might not be a viable solution either.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: Restoring new flash card from backups

Yes... assuming you have sufficient changes to justify the additional restore.

Mitel SX200, SX2000, and older SX platforms / Re: SX-200 EL

No... licensing for those was discontinued many years ago.

Your CF card is toast... get a new one and restore a backup... That is the only thing to do. You have to get one from Mitel as they are have a special format and an embedded SYSID code that will have to be transferred in AMC for the license.

Guess I am not sure... it look completely loaded... can you not open https://192.168.1.2/server-manager from a PC with a static IP in that subnet?

SIP On Mitel / Re: Alarm lines on ATA's
« on: January 28, 2024, 08:02:47 PM »
We have tried this off and on for years on our hosted platform and now we just say no to any attempt at alarm lines on SIP lines... It always fails, even if not initially, so now we either make the customer move to an "alternate" method (usually IP and/or cellular) or traditional telco lines. We can get faxes working with 99% reliability but alarm lines are just a hassle.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: How do multiple COS apply?
« on: January 24, 2024, 03:05:46 PM »
The answer is it varies depending on what is applied to what... Each feature can have different interactions depending on where it is applied. COS is a "Can or Cannot do" kind of thing in most cases. The documentation for each feature tells you how it applies in the Conditions sections for the most part.
