MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: DB Software Version
« on: February 26, 2020, 03:57:45 PM »
The plugins are available from Mitel in their downloads section.
What i would personally do is install the programming tool 6.3.7.97 over the top of the version you have installed, just accept the defaults.
Then grab the plugins zip 6.0 to 6.3. Extract and install the plugin version it is asking for, then you should be able to connect and open the database.
There is no need to uninstall anything, just keep adding the plugin versions that you need, i have plenty installed on my laptop :)

As magnus says, all you need to do is install the db plugin relevant to the system you want to connect to. No need to uninstall what you already have installed.

Mitel Software Applications / Re: OAISYS Mivcr Issue
« on: October 12, 2018, 03:46:51 PM »
Hi,

I haven't seen an issue like that.
I have seen issues with the Mitel Driver hanging and has normally been fixed with an upgrade.
There are a couple of higher 9.0 releases on Mitel's download site, your version i cannot see so i would think that they would steer you towards an upgrade, they certainly do that when i have issues with older call recorders.
If i was looking at yours i would be looking to take it all the way to the latest version of 9.1 as that has fixed alot of issues with my customers, as long as your PBX's/MBG/SRC's are a high enough version to support it.
Are you an end user or a reseller/VAR?

What is your trunk service (attributes) set to do against the trunks? Do you have something against absorb, at a minimum 0 ?

Hi,

Its a way for Mitel to release a patch to fix something in that build of software without forcing you to install a whole new build of software.
Only seen it used a few times myself.

maybe the hard drive has died.
You will need to plug a 9 way RS232 cable into the maintenance port on the front and connect with something like putty to see what the messages are, that will give you an idea what it is doing or trying to do.

Hi,

I don't think the 5000 likes the anonymous.invalid and is rejecting it.
Looking at the source IP are these Gamma SIP Trunks?

On your 5000 SIP Peer under Alternate IP/FQDN enter either the internal IP of the MBG or anonymous.invalid

What happens if you test again?

Mitel Software Applications / Re: Syncing MiCollab with AMC

Hi,

You could also log into the linux shell and try and ssh to sync.mitel-amc.com

That for me is normally a good bet that licensing will work to amc.

I think its port 22 outbound needs to be open for the server.

Cheers !

You will be fine on a standalone system.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Reboot Mitel 5000 with a PS1 attached.
« on: March 04, 2016, 11:12:40 AM »
Hi guys,

Just after a bit of advice. I need to reboot a 5000 with a PS1.
I cannot get into the programming tool or log in to the web page either which is the reason i need to reboot it.

I can SSH into the PS1 server and can see a reboot system option in there.
Is it just a matter of rebooting there and waiting, and the 5000 chassis will not need its own reboot ?

Thanks in advance :)

Maybe you could have all the extensions in a hunt group or ring group, point the DDI to that. And give all the extensions group presence keys and only make the 1 extension present that needs to take the calls.

Just a thought :)

In the 3300 MXE you may need to also change the IP networking to reflect the new address of the controller.
If you have Operator consoles you will definately need to do this otherwise they will have problems connecting to the MXE controller.

With the NuPoint you will need to login either with SSH or a local screen connected and login with admin to the text based menu, select "configure this server", change its IP settings and reboot. Also in the NuPoint you will need to go in the offline menu and the line group (s) and tell the Nupoint the new IP address of the MXE so it knows where to register its IP ports to.

Similar with the MBG you will need to "configure this server"
Plus you will need to change the ICP setttings, again so the MBG knows where the MXE is.

Not sure about Oaisys but i would imagine changing the IP of the windows server and also somewhere in the management studio there will be an entry that tells tge Oaisys where the MBG is for voice taps, i think as well if you are changing IP addresses you will need to accept a new certificate from the Oaisys.

I have probably missed something, good luck.

If you are on 4.2 it will be a one step upgrade to 7.2.

Sorry to hear you are with BT.
