indeed... see if indirect recording is being used and, if so, switch to direct recording (which means the sets being recorded have to connect to MBG).

Though I did think Mitel was fixing this on MiVB.

without any warranty, YMMV, etc... you can tftp the last web server load from 66.46.196.230.

Does anyone know if this TFTP server is still available?

It's up now.

when you move the vm, if you tell vmware it's a "move" and not a "copy" of a vm, I think it'll all work because the h/w footprint won't change.

this is assuming you are keeping all the same ip addresses and such.

ah, yes, your TLS level is too high.

src is unable to provide the applications that need to be loaded on the phone but i cannot tell more without tug logs.

raise a ticket with support, it sounds fairly simple.

Is it connected/registered with a Mitel call server?

you forgot to enable password access... correct?

it may be better now but our initial testing, years ago, showed a pretty significant perf impact for rtp streaming.

The limiting factor for MBG isn't cpu, it's network interrupt load and the extra path through the hypervisor, the virtual "network", and the virtual network drivers in the guest VM do have a big impact on the max interrupts/sec that can be processed and that means it limits the number of active calls that can be handled simultaneously.

that's all.

yeah, you're going to loose half your performance by moving to a VM... that may or may not matter to you.

try the 66 address again, the tftp server wasn't running.

don't use softphones? if they can't support the security level you want, then that seems like the proper solution.

Thanks...I guess one thing I am wondering is operational differences between virtual and MXE...what can the MXE platform do that the ISS version can't.
live in a closet?
seriously, the virtual mivb does everything (and more, i don't think mxe is offered anymore).
All of mitel's solutions work fully in virtual and cloud deployments now.

it's pretty staightforward...

grab the ova for the version of mivb you want and install that. (or use the msl iso image and go that route, either way works).

go get all the licenses you need

and cluster the vm mivb with the mxe..

honestly, you'll need to see if that can work, there's quite a version different here.

i should add that info to tugstats... the connection timestamp.
