Mitel Software Applications / Re: MSL licensing to AMC
« on: June 26, 2023, 09:30:34 AM »
Tried to clear the proxy configuration so I can license the server directly and MSL insists on still using the proxy config.
SSH into the server, NSlookup of sync.mitel-amc.com and register.mitel-amc.com resolve correctly to the internet address.

Can you provide the output of the following commands?

config show sync

cat /etc/hosts

Nutanix support is coming, but you will have to wait a while.

Anyone have any idea on how to convert a MSL server back to be able to choose proxy after you have already chosen direct amc connection?

Yes. Unregister it. Your footprint on the AMC will need clearing before reregistration.

Mitel tech support is likely being overly cautious. Barring occasional exceptions, the same major.minor version should sync fine.

How do I enable it? we are trying to setup up MiVCR for indirect call recording but the certificate request fails from the MiVCR server.

On the command-line, check

config show certmgmt

Actually you can normally cluster MBGs of the same major.minor version, but syncing them all to the same version is recommended.

Mitel publishes a compatibility matrix showing which versions of MBG work with which call managers, but they are normally backwards-compatible.

Yes. Your system clock went backwards.

The backtrace files are for the Mitel developers. Nothing should ever crash unless there is a hardware failure, or zero resources on the system.

Clearly, you need to call Mitel product support.

Why would the ports change by vlan?

Have you checked the engineering guidelines?

Any backtrace files in /root?

From the LAN, it talk directly to the MiCollab via the internal DNS.  From the WAN, it goes through the MGB, then remote proxy to MiCollab.

Which will not work, as the remote proxy proxies https, not webrtc. Different protocol.

MiCollab in the Lan with Mbg in the network Edge (LAN/WAN)

External ip adress of the MiCollab Client is the FQDN of the host name and domain name of the MiCollab which is proxy by the MBG to the MiCollab,

WebRTC on the MBG should be accessed via the dedicated FQDN that always points to the MBG WAN address. Split-DNS is not going to work as expected for services going through MBG. Just like all phones use an IP address pointed to the MBG WAN interface, if using an FQDN, it should resolve to the WAN as well.

MBG can run dual-stack with IPv4 and IPv6 but at this time you must buy an IPv6 license from Mitel for the server, and the phone must be IPv6 capable. The phone does not support autoconfiguration AFAIK, or DHCPv6, so push Mitel for this as no one wants to enter v6 addresses by hand, let alone on a numeric keypad.

Need more info.

2 server MiCollab setup, or one?

What domain names are you using? Split DNS config?
