Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: specific number will not dial
« on: February 14, 2017, 04:53:10 PM »
thank you for your reply.  It is not a new prefix, been around.  Other numbers to that prefix work just fine.  I am just getting this reported so not sure if it worked before and now it is not, or if it is a new number they are calling.  But yeah, other numbers with the same prefix work just fine.  Just this one.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / specific number will not dial
« on: February 14, 2017, 03:42:03 PM »
I was given a number that if you dial it from our phone system it states the number you dialed is no longer in service or has been disconnected.  However if you call it from a cell phone it works fine.

Other numbers with that prefix work, it isn't long distance.  What suggestions to help troubleshoot this issue?

Thank you,

That was it, I accidentally entered the ext in a field a couple above it, and not path unavailable.  Boom it works great now.  Thanks...

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / ACD Question
« on: December 29, 2016, 10:35:14 AM »
I created a new ACD group.  Everything works great, except when no one is logged in, we get a fast busy on the number?  When someone is logged in, it rings through fine.  Any ideas what I missed?

Thank you,

ok that was a mouthful to put in the subject.  Here is my issue.

I have an ACD group setup for our help desk.  Has always worked fine, but we have also always been on same site/network.  However recently we have expanded out help desk tier 1 to 4 different remote sites.  3 of them on a WAN and 1 of them site to site vpn.  On each phone the configuration is still DHCP, however i manually entered the "current controller IP" and the "ICP1 IP Address" into the phone.  The phones register on the phone system, and appeared everything was working fine.

Now if they answer a call from someone that dialed via internal 4 digit ext they get dead air.  But if you call the ACD from an outside line, they can hear.  If I dial their ext directly, or they dial directly they get just dead air.  Now if a user at our main site answers a call from someone that used 4 digit ext, they can hear just fine.

I did go into MSL server and added to the approved networks the network that the phone is on for the VPN site.  Still no go.

What is strange, is why, is it registering yet, and works for outside numbers but not internal?

What am I missing?

Mitel Software Applications / only name match not number match
« on: October 17, 2016, 09:38:01 AM »
I have a good one here.

In the MiCollab client, when you start typing in an external number it is comparing and trying to match numbers with internal extensions.  So I have users that are typing fast and hit enter and then it matches to a close match with an internal employee.  This is annoying.

Can I turn off number match and only have it match names when you type in?

Thank you,

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / hold call back timer
« on: October 13, 2016, 02:40:00 PM »
I have had my hold call back timer set to 180 for a awful long time now and it has worked great.  However recently it just started ringing back at 30 seconds again.  I went back into MiBusiness console, System Properties\System Feature Settings\Class of Service options\ selected the class of services affected and they are all set to 180 yet?

Why is this no longer working for me?

one of our offices, out of the blue started having to dial a 1 plus the area code for local numbers?

I have multiple offices and we determine them each within the class of restrictions.  So my main offices is COR #1, and this office with the issue is COR #4.  Now I change my ext to COR #4 and I try dialing a local number obviously fails.  I try dialing a local number that is local from my main office COR #1 and it works.  So obviously some reason #4 is acting like #1.

Where do I fix this?  Trying to look at it now, but figured I would drop this out there now.  I am thinking it is an ARS thing, but I have no idea why it changed?

Thank you,

I have 1 phone number at one of my sites that can make calls internally and externally, and can receive calls internally. However when you call her number from the outside, it will not ring in. I just hear a message stating, number you have dialed is not in service.

I go onto the 3300 and I do a CCS Trace and I can see the number coming in from the PRI and what number was dialing it.

So what on the 3300 is stopping this.

There is a system speed dial for it, I have confirmed that and the destination ext for it.

not sure what is stopping it.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Block specific incoming number?
« on: May 23, 2016, 02:14:21 PM »
I know how to block or redirect a incoming number within the micollab client.  However, is there a way to block specific numbers on the system?  So deskphone users do not get any of the calls?

Thanks,

Hi Patrick,

I have not, I got busy on other items and this took a back seat, but now I am back on it.  Going to see what I can figure out.  Have you figured anything out yet?

I do see the IR, did the other trace suggested as well. all looks fine.

So in an effort to get something going, I was assigning them new numbers, went into DID service form to try to forward the old number to the new one and see if would forward at least.  Well the Ext number was then the new number.  strange, so put back to normal, went back to the original number and now it works.  LOL strange.

Working now though.  Thank you both for the suggestions.

So I have two phone numbers that don't appear to be working.  If you call them, they have a standard ring, but not a double ring that you usually get when hitting my 3300 from the PRI.  I do a CCS trace and I see the calling number and the  number that I dialed.  I look in the DID service form and the number is in there like any other number.  Account looks fine and internal dialing works fine.

What can be stopping these two numbers from coming in?

Also if I do a State 7 1 2 1 to see the channels of my PRI, I don't see anymore become active when I try calling the number.  But as I referenced above CCS trace is seeing it?  Do the channels not become active until the call is built and active?

I have my call hold timer under class of service set to 180.  This used to work.  Now after our SIP migration it rings back after 30 secs, no matter what time I put in that field.

I am have been looking through my SIP Peer Profile to see if there is another setting, but haven't been able to locate it yet.

Any ideas?
