UPDATE:

Mitel have said that 3300 controllers can only accept a maximum of 1000 devices of the 5300 model range....anything over this means they will not work. Anyone got any views on this?

If this is the case it is frustrating considering they sold us over 1000 devices!

 Hi,

We have been experiencing an issue with our MITEL 3300 controllers and related 5320, 5330 and 5360 phones. A large number of telephones come up with a message saying:
"Please wait while upgrades are being performed on the HTML applications on this phone"
The phone either stays like this permanently or disappears and gives us about 30 seconds to login before reappearing. Once the user has logged in their phone shows "Applications Loading". The phone can make and receive calls once logged in but the keys and display do not show correctly.

This seems to happen on random phones...sometimes they will work after a reboot and sometimes they will not. We have a number of phones that do work so it is a complete mix.

All phones have base numbers and users have hot desk extensions. We have a primary controller and a secondary controller. Both have been rebooted, both have had their Databases restored. We have about 1300 telephones and relevant licences. Things have been working for a number of months with no issues.

We are now seeing an error on the controller reading: "SacUnpackPhoneInfo-> Max (Full) SAC Connection limit of 1000 reached. Device with MAC: 08:00:0F:56:10:CA rejected"

Mitel and our support provider have spent 3 days trying to resolve this but they cannot resolve it...any assistance greatly received!
Thanks
Stu

Hi,

Apologies for the delay, I have been away on leave. Ultimately we are looking to configure and then lock down settings such as:

Record chat history, calendar integration, startup on login etc.

Thanks

The transform script allows me to make settings on install but we wouldnt be able to make global changes once it has been installed. Also users would still have the ability to change settings...at least group policy would stop this.

My questions also relate to AD integration, single sign on, group policy templates, central management of feeatures for users.

We have the same issue, it seems to stay in sync for a couple of days and slowly drift out.

Mitel's position on the time display is more of a suggestion...surely not!!! ;)

Do you know where I could get some decent guidance for setting up and configuring features in the Nupoint?

Mitel Software Applications / Nupoint VM to Email

Hi

One of my engineers is trying to configure voicemial to email notification on NuPoint version 14.1.1.4.01. He has configured the ip address for the SMTP server and allowed the nupoint server to relay through the email server (internal Exchange 2010).

We have setup the email address in the individual mailbox numbers but is there anything else that is needed? He just cannot seem to get it working.

Thanks in advance.

So speedcall is the way to go to get around the external calls coming in.

In terms of the internal dialling, is the only way is to give them a completely different extension? Can an internal externsion be any amount of digits?

For example, the ddi is 02079017012 but there is already a 7012 extension linked to ddi 01413317012. Can I set the extension as 17012, so internal users can call that number?

Hope that makes sense!
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
This is a copy of the digitmap:

[2-9]11|0T|900xxxxxxxxxxx.T|9[0-9]xxxxxxxxxxx|91[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[0-8]xxx|[90]xxxxxxxxxxx

We are trying to dial 080035886xx

The process for dialling is: type the number in and it goes dead tone as i hit the last number. Even if i press the key to get a dialtone it does exactly the same.

Thanks for all the responses...so i believe the carrier is sending 6 digits. So I guess I could have an intenal extension number of 6 digits to include 31?? Is that possible?

My problem is how internal people communicate as I would ideally like extensions to be the same as the last few digits of the ddi.

Hi
We have setup a number of polycom soundstation ip 6000 devices but cannot get it to dial 0800 numbers or setup a 3 way conversation. We have looked at the digitmap assignments and so have our support provider, but still cannot get it working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for the replies, really frustrating that there isnt an adm template though.

Our users are already having fun fiddling with the settings and calling IT with problems!

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Same extension but different DDI's
« on: August 17, 2012, 09:51:45 AM »
Hi
I have a query about the best way to handle having two different ddi ranges but with the same last four digits.

We have two DDI ranges:
0141 331 xxxx
0207 901 xxxx

We have purchased a new range for the 0207 901 ddi, but the last four digits are the same as the last four digits on the other range. What is the best way to set this up on the Mitel system.

One idea was to have a DDI for external calls, but a completely different extension for internal calls (i.e. 0207 901 8001 but an extension of 101). Is this easy to do or are there better options?

Thanks in advance for any help.
