Ralph,

The 6799 is labeled as the first "Hunt Group" under "Voice Mail....Hunt group" settings on the 3300.  6001-6008 are listed as Hunt Group "members" under this Hunt Group.  The 6799 is setup as "HCI Reroute" which I'm guessing means the Nupoint but it doesn't work.

Hi Ralph, (thanks for the reply)

The APC wasn't changed out, I was told by Mitel that it wasn't field replaceable when installed inside a 3300 as ours is.  That's why I had to "move" the MAS/Nupoint to an "external" server (the Dell 2850).  Originally, the MAS/NUpoint was installed on the 3300 on the APC system, but not now.  The Nupoint is supposed to pick up from the outside on "6799" but when I dial this internally, it just rings and rings and rings.   I don't know exactly what the 6001 does but the phone techs had me dial it and the Nupoint system answers as it did originally.

We had the APC system card on our 3300 that Nupoint/MAS was installed on fail and I had our phone vendors reinstall the MAS/Nupoint on a standard Dell 2850 server and then restore our configuration as it was originally on the APC (IP address and everything).  Everything went well but they cannot get the Nupoint to pick up now from the outside and they tell me it is because it is not "registered" with the 3300.  They tell me that they cannot get it to register since the MAS "thinks" it already is (from the restore they think) but it is not.   I can dial 6001 and have the Nupoint AA system pick up and everything works correctly as it did originally but we cannot get it to pick up from an outside line calling in.  Any ideas????

Mitel Software Applications / Nupoint installed on APC - anyone?
« on: June 13, 2011, 04:02:32 PM »
I have been having serious issues with our Nupoint voicemail system.  It is crashing weekly and knocks out our voicemail system and auto-attendant.  Ours is actually installed on the APC that is mounted inside the 3300 cxii.  Does anyone else have this configuration?  I had a Mitel tech onsite to try and figure out what was going on and he said he had NEVER seen Nupoint being ran off of the 3300 and it took him calling 8 techs at Mitel before even one of them believed that this was possible.   I was flabbergasted.  They sold me this system with this configuration,  I didn't request it that way.  At any rate, has anyone else experienced the APC server just "crashing" and if so, what did you do to fix.  Thank you for your time!

Well,

Since the last APC restart, the Nupoint is still up after 3 days.   I at least found I could restart the APC without having to down the unit by issuing a RESET APC from the Maintenance menu of the MCD.   Still no clue as to why this started happening, what is causing it, etc.  Mitel was no help at all.  Thanks for all the replies.  If it wasn't for this forum, I'd be completely lost.

I had Mitel onsite today and it took them 4 hours just to figure out that apparently my "APC" server is bad.  They also told me that apparently the APC is not field replaceable and to fix I have to replace the whole phone system.  Does this sound right?  I did find out how to restart the APC server from within the MCD so I don't have to down the whole system anymore which will get me through awhile until I can get it fixed properly.  I wasn't too impressed with the "Mitel" service as the tech had to get the phone with Mitel and he was handed off 7 times until someone could figure out exactly how our system is configured.  They couldn't believe that Nupoint and the MAS could run on a 3300 CXi.  I haven't a clue on how it all works but I know I have one unit that is labeled 3300 cx and it runs both the phones and the Nupoint voicemail.   It didn't make me feel too good that Mitel kept telling me that this wasn't possible/supported.    Also, since the Nupoint runs "awhile" before it goes down, could it not be the "hard drive" of the APC?  Would that not be "replaceable"??  I mean, when I had rebooted it and the voicemail didn't work (the phones worked fine), the hard drive light on the front of the unit would stay lit and not go out.   The tech said that didn't mean anything since the phone system itself was working but I had a had time believing that.   Please let me know your thoughts!  Thanks!

It just happened again, this time only after 2 days.  Ralph, I can get to the /server-manager login page when this happens but as soon as I log in, I get a "Internal Server Error" page that comes up.   I've got Mitel themselves coming onsite today to look at it but surely this cannot be a "normal" thing.  My dealer told me that I might have to reboot it now and again, but this is rediculous.  Is there any way to reboot just the Nupoint from the MCD console instead of the Nupoint console?   I can get into the MCD website on the 3300 just fine when this happens, just not Nupoint server website.

How do I reboot "just" the Nupoint.  I cannot get into the Nupoint website, it just gives me "Internal Server Error" after I put in my username/password on the main Nupoint login screen.  I've never rebooted "just" the Nupoint, how exactly is that done.  That would at least keep me from having to down the phones just to get the voicemail/aa's working again.  Please advise and THANKS so much for the reply.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Nupoint system crashing weekly
« on: June 08, 2011, 04:22:53 PM »
I am fairly new to the whole Mitel 3300.  We have Nupoint messaging and it has just started crashing weekly and I have to reboot the 3300 to get it to come back.  When I try to go the web console, I just get an "Internal Server error" after I try and login to the Nupoint console.  Has anyone got ANY idea on why this could keep occurring.  When it happens, no voicemails will pick up and the AA on the main line quits working.  I can't keep having to reboot the phones once a week just to keep voicemail and the AA working.  Has anyone else experience this.  Any HELP would be GREATLY appreciated.  Thanks.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Voice mail notification
« on: February 21, 2011, 11:57:38 AM »
Guys,

Another problem.  I need to have the system "call" a particular number (cell phone in this case) if someone dials into that particular extension and leaves a voice-mail.  I read about the "voice mail notification" feature on a mailbox that I believe can be accessed by pressing "2" or  "8" maybe in the VM user options menu but it says "invalid" selection when I try to use either one of those.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  We are using Nupoint messenger if that makes any difference.  Thanks!

Mike..

Guys,

Thanks for all your help.  We actually have the Nupoint messenger system that has the "call-flow" feature.  Can I do similar to what you guys suggest by just creating a "call-flow" for the extension xxxx and define what I want it do from there?  It seems pretty straight-forward but I want to make sure I don't screw things up for every other extension in my organization since call-flow appears capable of defining either "mailbox" which I think means "individual" line or "line group" which means "everyone".  Please correct me if I am wrong.  Thanks!

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Newbie question about call redirecting
« on: February 16, 2011, 03:19:56 PM »
Would like to know how to accomplish the following:

Call comes into extension xxxx.  If xxxx extension doesn't answer within 4 or so rings, call gets routed to extension yyyy.  If yyyy extension doesn't answer within a few rings, call re-routes back to xxxx extension voicemail.  Is this possible?  Thanks in advance.
