Mitel Software Applications / Remote Contact Centre Client

One of our customers is moving to a work at home model for all of their contact centre agents.

We will be using the MiCollab softphone for them all and have some setup through the MBG already and this works as expected.

I am trying to figure out/piece together information for getting the supervisor applications working, it looks like that is done using the MiVoice Border Gateway Connector and I have this installed on a test PC, its configured and connecting but none of the applications are able to connect through it.

I am probably missing something but cant work out what it is?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / 6900 phones on 250

We have done one installation with 6900 phones which had massive issues with voice delay on answering a call. They are all 6940 phones and the delay was between 4-6 seconds. We are about to change it out for a MiVoice Business as it is not a workable solution.

I have spoken with some other dealers who have taken the decision not to install this combination at all due to all the issues but I haven't seen any posts related to this or much since June/July time. Are other still experiencing issues with 6900 phones on the 250?

Yes it’s in there as well, this is the first time testing this and both systems I have access to are the same version so could be a bug. Have logged with Mitel so will see what they come back with.

Yep 9 is in there, thought it might be calling the ehdu extension so played with dial plan but no luck there either

Hi

I am trying to get the callback working on MiCollab Client but can only get it working for internal, cant figure out how to get the external part working. I have the dialler set up with what looks correct but how doe the 9 get added? is it done by MiCollab?

I have just done something similar with SIP trunks. What I did was send the DID to a hunt group which was resilient to the secondary controller and then stop SDS sharing on a subset of call rerouting always entries, on the primary controller create an ACD path and then put that as the location of the call rerouting entry assigned to the hunt group. On the failover controller create a duplicate ACD path and enter that as the destination for the same call rerouting entry.

These versions brought in flow through provisioning a new version of sync which utilises SDS, following the upgrade there are steps that need to be completed to getting it working, have you done these?

You could set up a mode of operation on the call flow and then give the supervisor a number to dial where they can enable it, they would need to remember to disable it the next day though.

it wouldn't have to be off the other controller as long as it sends the correct CLI, don't really mind that the call is still using the home controllers trunks.

Thanks but for 600+ users a second login isn't an option due to cost. A second multicall key could be the way to go and then educating the users to press that to dial out when needed, will see what they say.

I don't think this is possible but you guys may have some solutions. I have a customer that has 2 different office and a controller in each, their staff hotdesk between the 2 and they want the outbound cli to reflect where they are logged in, so for example 2003 logs in at site A and displays 01234562003 and when in location B 09876542003. What appears to be happening is when they login at the remote site to where their extension was created the phone connects to the other controller and they dial out of that controllers trunks rather than the site they are logged into.
