Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: OCS/Lync Intergration
« on: February 16, 2011, 02:48:08 PM »
I am using dual 3300's with an OCS  to LBG connection, specifically for softphone capabilites. LBG provide the gateway between these 2 silos of technology. I heard from my innerconnect that Microsoft is severing their support with OCS / LYNC to announc their new PBX offering later this year. Sooooo
I am jumping onto the Mitel UCA bandwagon....
..
just my 10cents worth.

Excellent! I am looking into the form now. We use internal for call recording and external (NuPoint) for corporate use. There is NO entry in the form as of this update.

Thank you,
Terry.

I have been getting these messages for the last month. My Enterprise server was automatically providing the time updates to my 3300 enterprise. The daily update is still happening but my PBXs are reporting this as per below....

Have you opened a hyperterminal session enter the PBX IP and port 1752 (SMDR port) then make a call using the call flow you arehaing troubles. Hang up then follow the call in hyperterminal....perhaps it can clarify what extension the call is going to OR provide other details.

just a thought....

I assume this is a result that my time zone setting is not correct on host 3300?

Is your PRI on the same controller as the phones?
yes it is. I will also mention we did not create 2 VLANs, one data and one voice...and not QOS on the closet switches. I am planning this out as Mitel has this listed as one of the top 5 things that should be done on an install.

If yes, you're going to have to have the carrier look deeper in to the problem (good luch with this).
I've see it where there is a problem in their network but the PRI to your location is good.

So when they test the PRI they only test the local loop.
You're going to have to try and find a way to duplicate it in some fashion so the carrier can do a trace.
I have a ticket issued with them they have done non-destructive testing on each trunk with a CLEAN response (go figure). I heard perhaps a busy out on each trunk one by one testing would offer some helpful info.

However....
Next time someone get's no audio, put the call on hold and take it back off again to see if that resolves.  If it does, then it's your PBX.

I will test this....excellent suggestion.

My interconnect also said to put the Mitel IP Phone analyzer on it and watch for excessive packet loss. I have that running and I noticed larger drops on each call.

Appreciated Ralplh.

Mitel Software Applications / Re: Nupoint time zones
« on: January 13, 2011, 01:30:54 PM »
Excellent question! I am glad you asked. I have Same situation and currently have incorrect time displayed on the handsets in different timezones. I heard Nupoint would do this...but....never looked into it.

Perhaps a future upgrade will address this?

Terry.

Interesting point Ralph....

The phone reporting the issue are 5330 and 5312. I think I might try that....

another awesome suggestion

Thank you.

Thank you for the reply....here is more insight....

This would suggest to me that packets are dropping accross the VPN.
If you set up a continious ping (both directions) do you loose packets?
I will test that this week great idea. I do have a service call into the Telco and like eveyone else I am waiting for response.

Are the phones set up in teleworker mode (you don't need a TW server to do this) or are you pointing to the 3300 via it's DHCP options?
I should have clarified this....my bad. The phone are connected to a DHCP host server in another office, same on that the PBX is in. I am using a VLAN extension in this case.

You may want to verify that all your timer settings are correct in the controller registery form.
Is there some suggestions for the timer settings?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: NuPoint VM hard drive failure
« on: January 10, 2011, 03:28:01 PM »
I agree with the last response....

The time is spent "replacing the hardware" but that can be minimal depending on how much clear access you have to the PBX (referring to patch cables blocking access, rack position,...). I know that the mirroring process take time depends on the amount of data you have to run your system (prompts, voicemail, customized voice scripts). I also agree with backing up...I do daily using and EMan script.
It is a great thought about installing 2 new drives. One has failed...the other will sooner thant later then your time to replace the 2nd drive will double your down time and hard drives are cheap these days.

Food for thought....best of luck

My sales team is experiencing randon static / jabber / echo / no voice on random outbound PRI calls. On the host 3300 ICP v4.0 I see no errors and the PRIs are testing clean (as per telcos). I am monitoring with Mitel IP Phone analyzer and would appreciate any thoughts / suggestions?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / remote IP phones randomly cut out
« on: January 10, 2011, 02:51:20 PM »
One of my remote sites 5212 IP handserts randomly cuts out while users are on the phone. The site is connects via HP Procurve POE to VLAN over to host PBX in another city.  Oddly this just began happening with no reason (No recent upgrades, VLAN is terting clean, POE has not failed)

Error message on the 3300 ICP (running version 4.0):

Source:    Heartbeat Server
Description:    ICP has lost contact with (192.168.34.34 (08-00-0F-48-E8-6D)), network driver cluster pool free: 3039 and low water mark: 3005
File Name and Line Number:    HeartbeatRecvTimeoutHandler.cpp;286

Thoughts?
appreciated.
