Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Application Group Licensing
« on: March 22, 2012, 01:24:26 PM »
I need clarification on a question about Application Group Licensing. I have 6 3300´s all release 5.0.SP1 in service and working. My question is the EDOC´s indicate when configuring the MCD(s) I "may be prompted" to reset the system, will I or won´t I?

The E-DOCS (MCD 5) Configuring the MCD step 6

Allocate Local Licenses:

With the group licenses distributed to all the nodes the application group, the next task is to allocate local licenses from the group licence pool.

This is done on each node using Application Reach Through.

Navigate to the License and Option Selection form on the first node.

Notice the pool of licenses in the ‘Available for Allocation’ column. (Figure 12).

For each option, we enter the number of licenses that the first node requires.

Once the local license allocations have been applied and the node rebooted (if prompted to do so), reach through to the other nodes to allocate their licenses. Finish by issuing the ‘RESET SYSTEM’ maintenance command to reboot the node if prompted.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / SDS issue...DEI Storage Adaptor class
« on: August 09, 2011, 12:09:16 PM »
I've got a cluster of three 3300's (MCD 4.2 SP2 load 10.2.2.10) the newly added network element will not share with other 3300's in the cluster. When checking the logs I receive "Cannot sync with....." and the Alarm source is DEI Storage Adaptor class

I had the same problem recently when installing a MXeIII running MCD 4.2. I contacted product support and they gave me a couple of commands to run.

From the RTC shell you need to type this command
 g_ForceBootromUpgrade =1

Once that is done type thw following command in ESM maintenance commands
 UPGRADEBOOTROM ALL

good luck!

Ralph, was this the COS option you were thinking of?

After Answer Display Time:

Enter the length of time (0-60 sec) a call path or hunt group name is displayed on a Mitel display telephone after an ACD 2000 agent answers a call.

A value of 0 causes the path to be displayed for the duration of the call after the agent answers.

For NameTag hunt group, the value applies whether the call is being answered for the first time, as the result of a local transfer or forward, or as the result of a recall or hold retrieve.

Default value is BLANK

I use a RS232 DB9 null modem cable and Mitel Express Manager. If the serial port on the Express Messenger card is used for PMS intregration you'll need to login to the TUI (system admin mailbox) and change it to express manager. If you have to change it be careful to note what protocol the PMS interface is using there are two choices, Hyatt Encore and HIS Property Management Systems so you can change it back after you make the needed programming changes.

1. Access the System Administrator

How about swapping the handsets? Does the problem follow the handset or stay with the phone?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / 3300 ACD Path Name / Question
« on: February 03, 2011, 03:53:32 PM »
The Path interflow and overflow answer point is a hunt group and the members of the hunt group are ringing keylines on a PKM of a 5324 set (receptionist non-agent). When a call is presented to the path (via DNIS) and is un-answered and is interflowed or overflowed the display on the receptionist phone (while ringing) displays the path DN and not the path name. Is there a way to display the path name during the ringing cycle?

Has anyone tried SIP trunks between a Mitel 3300 and a NEC NEAX 2400 PBX (with PAD)?

The issue has been resolved, the problem didn't occur on the previous load (rel 9) On rel 10 (it seems) I needed to add the incoming DID range to the  SIP Peer Profile Assignment by Incoming DID.

I've masked the range of DID's and IP addresses for the privacy and security of the customer.

Incoming SIP calls from DN@anonymous.invalid fail.
Incoming SIP calls from anonymous@anonymous.invalid work fine.
The controller is running MCD 4 SP1, SIP carrier is Paetec Dynamic SIP.

If the PRI is connected to an embedded T-1 module the place to configure outbound caller ID is in the ARS modified digit forms, consult the e-doc's for more info and yes the IP address is configurable(form 47). Be careful, if the ICP is also configured as a DHCP server options (addresses) will need to be adjusted there as well and will require a reboot.

I'm attempting to get message waiting lamps to work across a Qsig link. The SX200 ICP is the Qsig slave to a Tadiran PBX( Qsig master) which is conected to a Active Voice voicemail system. The basic Qsig features work, caller ID, name & number, voicemail login, etc.. but I can't get the message waiting lamps to work on the SX200icp sets.I followed the e-doc's when setting up the new link.
