Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Handset Battery icon is missing
« on: August 10, 2021, 01:33:18 PM »
I have been installing Mitel 6940 phones. I don't see the Handset Battery (charge level)icon. I don't see a place in Settings to make it appear.
I do see Hotdesked user, Bluetooth, and Network Connected icons.

How do I make the charge level icon appear?

Thank you,

Scott

I want to forward calls to my mobile when I am away from my desk. I se up the number in Call Forwarding. It does not forward, just goes to voicemail. I can forward to internal extensions with no issue.

I have tried the following:
  • Forwarding (with 9 for an outside line) to a seven digit number.
  • Forwarding (with 9 for an outside line) to a ten digit number.
  • Setting up a speed dial number and using that.

Any suggestions?

Phone is a Mitel 6940 on a 3300.

Thank you,

Scott

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: Monitor phone while it is on-hook?

Thank you, I felt this was distasteful and shady, but said I would check into it. Now I can tell him no and not get pushback.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Monitor phone while it is on-hook?
« on: January 21, 2021, 08:51:14 AM »
My boss has asked, and I am checking here, if it is possible to listen to a phone's microphone while the phone is not in use. The end user would not know they are monitored. I don't mean the Silent Monitor feature.

Thank you,

Scott

It's hiding under the "Voice Services" menu option.

I tried that, it didn't work.

Hi lundah, under Voice Services I see MiCloud Connect, MiVoice Connect, and MiVoice Border Gateway. Which is the correct one to use?

Thank you,

Scott

We're replacing older phones with 6940s. I want to put them in Teleworker mode, but I can't see it in Settings. Nothing under Advanced, either. Our firmware version is 01.05.00.071.

Thank you for your help,

Scott

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / No CTI generated for deviceCTI
« on: January 17, 2020, 02:50:20 PM »
I am getting this message on extension 2055: 3043 - No CTI generated for deviceCTI is not being generated for device 2055.  The last voice stream ended just now, but the last CTI event we got for the device happened on 1/17/2020 11:35:17 AM

What is it, and how do I fix it?

Thank you for your help.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Add an extension to dial by name
« on: October 09, 2019, 09:10:31 AM »
I have an extension with no voicemail attached to it. I want users to be able to enter the extension name into the dial by name function and get sent to that extension (it has an operator on hand 24/7).

However, it seems I need to add a voicemail to the extension, so Dial-By-Name will be able to look it up. I don't want to add voicemail to that extension.

How do I do this? If I have to set up a voicemail, can I set it to zero messages allowed?

Thank you for your help,

Scott

I have a major alarm on of of our PBXs: "There is a mismatch between the Trunks - Used count in the System Capacity form and the trunk count output by the Alarm maintenance command." What is this command, and how do I use it?

The building that uses that PBX uses copper lines for part of the operation. They lost these lines for a half hour today. Does this alarm have anything to do with it?

Other information: We've been getting alarms, then they clear, for the twelve hours. (This happens when it rains, Consolidated has no idea what is causing them.)

Here's one of the alarms:
Alarm details on SCJ(192.168.41.30)
      Date: Fri, 21 Jun 19 07:52:54 -0400

      System alarm status: Major
      Number of categories: 3

      1) Category Name: Digital Links
         Total: 1
         Unavailable %: 100
         Alarm Level: Major
         Minor Threshold: 101
         Major Threshold: 0
         Critical Threshold: 101

      2) Category Name: NETSYNC source
         Total: 1
         Unavailable %: 100
         Alarm Level: Minor
         Minor Threshold: 0
         Major Threshold: 101

      3) Category Name: Trunks

         Unavailable %: 53
         Alarm Level: Major
         Minor Threshold: 0
         Major Threshold: 10
         Critical Threshold: 100

Any help is appreciated!

I have attached a screenshot.

There is another, repeating, alarm below that one. It has a timestamp, then Alarm Number 3012. Severity: Critical. Error Description: Port not operational. Message:
"Waiting for Extension Association from SRC on port 125"

Below that, there are more, with different port numbers. Everything seems to be working...

Any ideas on that?

I was able to call extension 2060, and the call recorded. Was it a temporary blip?

15
An error message appeared this morning:

Mitel Call Record
3012 - Port not operationalWaiting for Extension Association from SRC on port 5

I checked the Alarm Service History in Call Recording Admin, I see a lot of items like this:

"SrcXml: Device 2060 mac 08:00:0F:36:33:42 Device IP:192.168.41.90 ICP IP:192.168.41.30 addr device 192.168.41.90:6921 addr icp 192.168.41.30:6802 Offline or Down on port 61"

I can log onto 192.168.41.30, that is one of our PBXs. (I can log onto the other one, too.

Can you help with this? I am not a Mitel expert, but hoped I could find a solution before we call our vendor.

Thank you,

Scott
