Mitel Software Applications / Scheduled Task to Restart Advanced UM
« on: October 05, 2023, 05:13:52 PM »
The customer has an in-house MiCollab with NuPoint.

Every time they restart their Exchange environment, we have to do a restart of the Advanced UM services to re-establish Voicemail to email.

Is there the possibility of a cron job or something to restart the Advanced UM at a specific time every morning? Just trying to think of something to stop from having to remote in to do it, only have they've noticed that its stopped working.

Thanks!

Interesting; I've not done much with Ignite in a long time, or Ignite Web ever.

In a quick play of things, is it the Account code feature? I didn't see anything specifically labeled as classification code. But I can keep looking too.

Mitel Software Applications / ACD Call Classification
« on: February 27, 2023, 09:41:16 AM »
Looking for any recommendations on ways to classify and track ACD call types. Customer has a smaller ACD setup (12 agents), with no tie-in to their CRM system.

Was thinking of using call Tagging, but I'm not seeing a way to tally/report on those tags within MiContact Center Business at all.

Anyone else got ideas other than pen and paper?

Thanks!

You can use full if that is what you have. Are current users using full? If so you can create a personal ring group for them. They would need a softpone MiCollab license

Thanks. Yes, I have a bunch of available Full licenses and all users are setup as Full. No UCC at all. I have 21 available softphone MiCollab PC so should be good there.

I've got it setup as UC Endpoints on both MiCollab server and MCD. SIP password is set in both as well. Testing with myself currently. Can see the Softphone in my PC app, but its grayed out and I'm not able to make calls using it.

So I'm obviously still missing something; just not sure what.

For the softphone in lan mode, you must have at least a standard ucc license.  Create uc endpoint extension .  Deskphone extension 1234, for the softphone 1 * 234.  Then you send the pass credentials by email.
UCC or no dice? What if I'm willing to burn some full licenses?

I've done the UC endpoint on the MiCollab side. What would it create it as on the MCD side? What credentials would it take?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: Close VNC Port on EX Controller

Level 2 support found the answer.

In the EX Controller webpage go to VM-tab and change the Vnc ID for the MIVB from 1 to -1. Reboot afterwards.

This disables the port and makes my auditors happy.

For the life of me I can not find any instructions on setting this up.

For select users, along with their deskphone, we want to provide them with a Softphone. If someone has instructions for both the MCD and MiCollab Server side, I'd appreciate it.

Not doing anything through MBG or anything fancy like that.

Thanks!

Reading through the document, thanks by the way I hadn't been able to find that one.

When you say console, are you referring to how the EX uses VNC in appendix A for the Static IP Address setup?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Close VNC Port on EX Controller
« on: June 29, 2020, 09:10:47 PM »
Network scans are showing port 5091, commonly used for VNC, open on all three EX controllers that we have. I'm able to successfully connect on that port number, via telnet, to the management IP of the controllers.

Anyone have any idea on how to shut that down/close the port? I don't see any documentation that it should be open or is used by anything.

If you mean phone A resides on controller A and you want a MWI key on a phone that resides on controller B, then no... That doesn't work.

That's exactly the situation I meant. Ok, like I said, I'm out of practice and obviously have turned into someone that swears it can do things it can't.

Thanks!

I've been out of practice, so forgive me if this is almost a noob question....

Can you not do an MWI of a remote DN when you have clustered controllers? I thought you could...

When I try I'm told the number is in use elsewhere.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Remote Hold Retrieve of ACD Call
« on: January 20, 2020, 11:00:35 AM »
My call center people are telling me that this has stopped working. They dial the FAC of **1 and the extension who's held call they want to pickup, and nothing. They claim this was working previously.

This is hotdesk ACD, so I check the COS of the base phone, as well as the Hotdesk extension, and it's enabled in both. When I test myself in non-ACD, it works perfectly.

Anyone have any insights?

You need to adjust the project rate (Hz) within Audacity to be 8000. This should slow it down and allow it to play regular.

I just did this a couple of weeks ago and it worked perfectly.

All 150 6930's that I've been rolling out have been of the 00:08:5D variety. Which to someone who muscle memoried the 08:00:0F has been driving me crazy!

Must all depend on what batch people get.
