No there is no DLM, it is simple standalone system. I suspect the license violation alarm is there not due to the expired certificate but due to the expired SWAS when the customer is not allowed to use the latest release. Unfortunately I do not have access to their ARID on the AMC server to verify.

I will try to switch it to the inactive SW load that is still on 9.0.X but there is still the problem how to update the certificate on CX II systems running linux with the version older than
the the 9.0 SP3.

AMC server seems to be accessible:

root@mvb-xxxx-42:/sysro# ping register.mitel-amc.com

I upgraded one CXII controller to the latest release 9.1 PR1 (9.1.0.95) but still after 20th August went to the license violation state.

I managed to log in (https://<ip-address>/server-manager) using the admin account using original password that the MSL was originally installed with. When I still had access I also started upgrade to the latest release 9.1.0.95, and after the upgrade was finished I experienced the login problems to Server Manager.

In the meantime I upgraded another PBX and I could not also log in in the Server Manager with the 'system' user. Maybe it relates to this new feature in 9.1 and there could be some bug in it:

Server Manager now supports adding new user accounts through the System users page under Administration.

You can define same user accounts both in Server Manager and in the System Administration Tool (using the User Authorization Profiles form) that allows you to open the Server Manager application directly from the MiVoice Business Tools selection page.

You can also set the same passwords for user accounts in Server Manager and the System Administration Tool, provided it meets the password criterion of both applications.

It was already rebooted, did not help.

I tried https://<ip_address>  which turned into https://<ip_address>/esm_login.asp?loginBannerDisplayed=1, there I logged in as system, when I clicked on System Administration Tool I could log in to ESM. If I clicked to Server Manager, https://<ip_address>/server-manager opened with a login screen showing "You are not authorized to access this area.".

I also tried to open directly https://<ip_address>/server-manager and tried to log in as system/admin but with no luck.

Thank you for your replies. I checked the User Authorization Profiles and the 'system' account had the Server Manager already enabled. I also checked the Shared System Option and the option 'Enable to Server Manager' was also already enabled. I tried to log in with the other account and I got the same error message "You are not authorized to access this area." :-(

I tried to disable and reenable the options in Shared System Option and User Authorization Profiles and with no luck either.

I tried to log in as admin with the same password as for the system user and it did not work either :-(

I have a customer with CX on MiVB 9.0. When I log in using the system user and the password I could open the System Administration Tool but when I try to open the Server Manager a get "You are not authorized to access this area" error message. I suspect it is somehow related to this http://mitelforums.com/forum/index.php?topic=11556.msg52082#msg52082
. Do you have any ideas how to fix it?

Hi Ralph,
did you finish the migration to virtualized MiVB successfully? I was searching for the newer version of  the Article # 13-5191-00303 v3 but did not find any. We need to virtualize a CX controller and I'm searching for the valid how to steps.

Thanks
Petr

Mitel Software Applications / Re: Warning e-mail from Let's Encrypt

I found article "Let's Encrypt ACMEv2 support for MSL 11.0.53+"....Is this all what I need to do? When clicked the Get Certificate button I got "Successfully deployed certificate." before and after I applied the patch.

Resolution
Upload attached file using WinSCP (or similar) to the MSL server /tmp directory

SSH to the server and login as root.
run the command
rpm -Uvh /tmp/mitel-msl-webservercert-1.12.37-02.noarch.rpm

Mitel Software Applications / Warning e-mail from Let's Encrypt
« on: March 29, 2020, 04:30:32 PM »
I've got following e-mail from Let's Encrypt. Do you know how to switch the MSL server to start using ACMEv2?

Hi,

According to our records, the software client you're using to get Let's Encrypt TLS/SSL certificates issued or renewed at least one HTTPS certificate in the past two weeks using the ACMEv1 protocol. Here are the details of one recent ACMEv1 request from each of your account(s):

Client IP address:  xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

User agent:  curl/7.19.7 (x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu) libcurl/7.19.7 NSS/3.27.1 zlib/1.2.3 libidn/1.18 libssh2/1.4.2

Hostname(s):  "mbg.mitel.xxxxxxxxxx.eu","mbg.mitel.xxxxxxxxxx.eu","micollab.mitel.xxxxxxxxxx.eu","mcd.mitel.xxxxxxxxxx.eu"

Request time:  2020-03-08 03:27:25 UTC

Beginning June 1, 2020, we will stop allowing new domains to validate using the ACMEv1 protocol. You should upgrade to an ACMEv2 compatible client before then, or certificate issuance will fail. For most people, simply upgrading to the latest version of your existing client will suffice. You can view the client list at: https://letsencrypt.org/docs/client-options/

If you're unsure how your certificate is managed, get in touch with the person who installed the certificate for you. If you don't know who to contact, please view the help section in our community forum at https://community.letsencrypt.org/c/help and use the search bar to check if there's an existing solution for your question. If there isn't, please create a new topic and fill out the help template.

ACMEv1 API deprecation details can be found in our community forum:
https://community.letsencrypt.org/t/end-of-life-plan-for-acmev1

As a reminder: In the future, Let's Encrypt will be performing multiple domain validation requests for each domain name when you issue a certificate.
While you're working on migrating to ACMEv2, please check that your system configuration will not block validation requests made by new Let's Encrypt IP addresses, or block multiple matching requests. Per our FAQ (https://letsencrypt.org/docs/faq/), we don't publish a list of IP addresses we use to validate, and this list may change at any time.

When I try to enable MiTeam Meetings I get "Unable to assign MiTeam Meeting feature.-Fobridden Request" error message.

On MiTeam Console I assigned the MiTeam Meetings 6 moths license to the account already.

I have a case open with Mitel where deployment profile is not filled with SIP user and password and it should be fixed in 9.1.3, I'm not sure it could relate to this issue.

Any ideas how to fix it or troubleshoot it?

johnp, thank you for your answer. I mean if users from one tenant can use the same DN ranges as users from another tenant. When I tried to configure new user in tenant 2 with the same DN as already existing user from tenant 1, it complained that the DN was already in use.

Is it possible to use the same extension (directory number) for multiple tenants. I think it is not possible, but if you have any ideas, please share.
