Non-Mitel Chatter / Call Recording for Analog Phone lines Mitel 5000
« on: July 26, 2021, 12:38:04 PM »
Good day,

We have a mitel 5000 system with around 8 analogue lines.

Looking for a simple software that can record the incoming and outgoing phone calls on a server, as well as track caller ID in both directions.

As the lines are analogue, I'm hoping there is a software solution with hardware that can simply tap the lines.

Looking to NOT get a proprietary Mitel solution, rather 3rd party that runs independent of our mitel system.

Thanks in advance,

We have a Mitel 5000 or whatever its called now-a-days.

We had micollab and border gate way, dmz and all...but it never worked right and the mitel iOS/Android app was never that good, calls only came through half the time, you couldn't grab a phone line, page, etc.  It was a gimmicky tool for sales guys and it got tossed after a year of use.

Long story short, is there a smartphone application available for andriod or iOS that allows for the smartphone to become a Mitel 5320, 5330 or 5340 from the outside, without the ultra-complicated setup of the micollab server?

Thanks and stay safe!

How does one do a conference call inside the office on a mitel 5000/mivoice 250

I typically call the other extensions with the IC key...can I add other members inside the office to the IC call?

I'm using a VPN connection with a Mitel 5000 PBX and a 5330 phone.  Network wise the VPN is working as it should...but plugging the mitel phone in gets DHCP, and then TFPT: main for 1 minute...then TFPT: err 4 and it restarts many time (like 20) and then will just work.

Any idea's?  What is this error and why does it eventually work without me changing anything?

Seems like they forgot about this when designing it lol.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Change a phones paging volume

Pressing the volume up/down arrows changes the volume for the alerts (aka phone ringing)

To change the volume pages come through on the phone, the only way I found is you have to have someone page and then mash the volume arrows up or down.

Is there a more sophisticated way of checking and adjusting the phones paging volume?

Fantastic.  Thank you

Oh...one more question.

Say member list P0001 is first ring group with extension 101 and 102, then I set P0002 as second ring group with members extension 103, when the phone rings, goes past 12 seconds, will it continue to ring the first group, or only ring the extension 103?

I have it looking like this...

P0001
P0002
P0002
P0002
P0002

How many times do I have to put the P0002 group?  Practically we don't use the VM here...so someone will answer the phone at some point.

Let me know,

Well that was easy :-)  I like simple answers.

That should do the trick guys, thanks!

We've got a hunt group for 1st ring with members in it...once upon a time we had a 3rd ring hunt group, so if the phones are not answered by 3rd ring hunt group #2 rings as well as the first hunt group.

Could someone remind me how to do this?

We're using hunt group member extension lists...

Is it possible to change the buttons on the top of the 5340's?

Anyone?  I know this is an odd request...but I'm not sure where else to find this information out?  I'm looking specifically for 2013 UCA if it was compatible with Hyper-V.

Would anyone have an archive or old data sheet...or even better contact with Mitel that they could find out?  Because I'm just a customer I don't think mitel will even talk to me and I'm not my dealer will provide accurate information.

Thanks!

Thanks.  Silly question...but for how long?

I'm going back to 2013 to see if it were technically possible to have installed a virtualized MAS back then on hyper-v specifically.

Would anyone have spec or data sheets from 2013 saying if it was or was not possible back then?

I've got an install that is not virtualized, and I'm wondering if it was an option back in 2013.  It has to do with licensing, that's why I'm asking these weird questions ;-)

Mitel Software Applications / Micollab/UCA...virtual machine host options
« on: October 24, 2017, 04:40:55 PM »
We now have a Micollab server that is virtualized ontop of Microsoft Hyper-V.

Has the Micollab, and even older UCA been avail. to be virtualized ontop of Hyper-V?  I have people telling me that it has to be a VMware instance, or at least it had to be in the past with UCA.

Can anyone confirm or deny if its always been avail for use with Hyper-V?

Thanks
