Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Mitel MCD - Unable to Clear CESID Alarm

MCD Release level: 8.0 SP2

I've been working on clearing a CESID alarm.  The help files say this:

Assign CESIDs in the CESID Assignment form or the L2 to CESID Mapping form.
Once all DN CESID assignments are made, the system will clear the alarm.

So I've done that. Verified and put a fork in it.
I've gone through and ack'ed all the moves but it still doesn't clear.

Any idea what I might be missing?

There's a very useful report in the NuPoint under Call Directory -->Reports-->View Call Flow Reports

My boss would like to see these reports daily.
The problem is, I have to reset the report the Call Flow Report daily in order to see the details for a single day.

Does anyone know of a way to automatically run the report daily, email it and then reset it?

Mitel Software Applications / Mitel Soft Client

I was playing with a SIP client on my softphone to work through my MBG server.
As soon as my firewall admin opened up SIP ports we started getting hammered with people trying to connect.
That's too much of a security risk that my mangement doesn't want to take.

Question:
Is the MiCollab softclient SIP based or Minet?  We'd need Minet so we don't have to open up SIP ports.

I'm open to any other suggestions as well.

Does Mitel still have a server based solution for emergency calling?
I seem to remember that there was once a server addon for the 3300.  I can't find anything about it now.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Mitel 5300 phone EOL / EOS

I'm trying to find out when end of support for the 5300 (not 'e' variant) will be end of support.
At the same time, will these phones still be supported on the 3300?
The reason I ask is because we need to upgrade our servers (version 8.0) but don't want to lay out the cash right now for all new phones.

Anyone have any input?

Mitel Software Applications / Teleworker TLS Version

Our TW server (MiCollab) is failing an audit because we're using TLS v1.0.
The problem is, we can switch to v1.2 because we have 5330s and 5340s non "e" variant. Old phones.
The phones don't work with v1.2.

My question is, do 5330e and 5340e variants work with TLS v1.2?

I'm looking for a log in my MBG that will show when a device is connected.
I thought it would be tug.log but apparently not.
Does anyone know what log that might be?

My question is: When is end life / end of support for the MCD software level 8.0 SP2 14.0.2.26?

Same question for 5330 (not 5330e) phones.

1) The latest version of MiCollab
2) Is it compatible with 8.0 SP3 vMCD?   (If that's not the latest, is 11.4 compatible?)

I just wanted to put this here in case someone else has the problem.

We had a software upgrade on our data switches last night.
When the users came in, their 5560 IP turrets were sitting at waiting for DHCP.
Putting the phones in teleworker mode (my usual fix for such things) did not resolve the problem.

We traced the problem to the DHCP ping packet in the switch.
The fix is to enter the command in the cisco "ip dhcp ping packet 0"

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Remote Admin Access to Mitel TA7102

I've picked up a TA7102 to use as an interface for a fax machine in Las Vegas.
The problem I've come up against is that I can't access the admin interface unless I'm local on that network.
I need to install this on a network that's remote to me, so I need to ensure I have access.
When I look at the access control tab, the only options I see is Local or Radius.
Is there a way I can set it up to accept access from anywhere on our WAN?

I'm not sure if this is possible or not so I'd like to bounce it off of everyone here.
The phones have the ability to play "music" through the speaker when idle.
What I'd like to do is rather than play music, play announcements.
What I can't have is if a phone has a trunk on hold, I can't have those announcements play to the person on hold.
I ~think~ I may be able to do that via tenanting but I'm not sure.
What do you think?
