Mitel Software Applications / MiCollab 7.3 Inbound Call Notification

Right now I've got agents working from home using 7.3. and when calls come in they only see the inbound call number. I want to know if its possible for the queue name or number to appear along with the inbound number or have it replace it? Spanish agents don't know when to answer in Spanish vs English. They do have access to Ignite but don't typically have this screen up watching it in real time. That might be our only option but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something that could be done within MiCollab.

Mitel Software Applications / MiCollab 7.3 Agent Not Connecting

Hello,

I've got agents using MiCollab 7.3 and I use call recording with MiVoice and for the most part everything works fine. These agents are remote on AnyConnect. The following takes place every now and again. Agent call won't record. I go and check devices on MiCollab and it will show the correct mac address along with Enabled but red x under connected. When I look at the PC's UC logs there very generic and talks about device being offline. However, this agent can receive calls and make calls no problem. The only way I can get past this is blow away the MiCollab profile and rebuild it. Once I do that agent shows connected calls get recorded. The agents home connection is fine. What else can I look at or do to get past this issue.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / UC endpoint vs Generic SIP Device

Hoping someone could clear up some confusion for me. Working with MiCollab 7.3 softphones and if there setup with UC Endpoint and SIP Device Capabilities 71 it seems like I should be able to do a conference call with 3 people by hitting consult then conference. This isn't working so far and I've given the soft phone 4 multiline keys of their main line. What am I missing? Should I be using generic SIP and 71?

Here's how I understand it.
Generic SIP or UC Endpoint using 71 is for SIP soft phones or SIP physical phone like a Crestron?
If I want to make the soft phone use MiNet then I use a 5020 and create a fake mac and tweak my COS to fit my needs with no SIP Device capabilities setup.

is that accurate?

Mitel Software Applications / MiCollab 2nd Line Help

Hello,
MiCollab client 7.3
I've been able to setup SIP softphone successfully along with UC Endpoint softphones. In either case I cannot seem to add a second line. I tried adding another DN on the VMCD side with no luck. I haven't been able to find it yet within the documentation. I assume this has to be possible. Any help would be appreciated.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / 6930 Port Mirroring

I turned on port mirroring saved my changes and still cannot see packets via WireShark with windows 10. With 5300 series all I did was turn this on and could run WS with no issues. Is there something else I need to do with these phones? I saw they had a firewall setting which I disabled but that did nothing. I also rebooted the phone after I enabled the port mirroring but that just took port mirroring back to disable.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Delay Ring to Headset

I've got agents telling me their phone rings once then in the headset. They would like this fixed. Initially, I thought it was a COS issue and I put my phone on their COS and experienced the delay myself. I put my phone on my test COS and no delay. I compared the two and found zero differences. I retested with both COS and this time had no delay with either. So is this something I can control or just a timing issue?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / SIP dead Air Beginning of the call

I've got several sites A,B,C that could not be ported over to our primary SIP provider. In those instances I'm having the telco provider RFC those numbers to a DID that is our contact center.  Normal call flow would be you call site A it would ring once then play our greeting. Now when you call site A's number there's dead air in the beginning a quick ring more dead air then you hear no digit was selected and our greeting plays. The no digit response happens if you listen to our greeting entirely and don't select anything. Our SIP provider tells me everything looks good on their end and they can see the call connect to our PBX right away. Nothing's changed on my side so I'm not sure what would introduce this dead air. Any tips would be appreciated.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Cannot log into GUI Constant reboots

Hello,

I've got an issue where I can ping my controller but cannot log into the GUI and the box seems to keep rebooting. If I manually reboot the PBX 1-2 times I can usually get in for a certain period of time before it falls off. I've had Mitel and partner look at the logs several times. They couldn't find anything. We replaced the hardware at the recommendation of partner. That didn't work. We know replaced the hard drives so its essentially a new box besides a few cards. I'm still having the problem.  Has anyone had this issue before? There was nothing in the logs that pointed to a hardware of hard drive issue. One of the techs thinks that SDS errors are jamming it up and it couldn't wright to the old hard drives. I do have 1k sds logs on my VMCD and they mostly all reference this box on the fritz.  I've moved the PBX from a UPS that was not experiencing any issues to a straight wall jack but that didn't seem to matter.

Call Recording Server version 9
MiCollab 7.3

I've got several CC agents who have two lines and I have call recording setup to capture both lines. The primary line is recording fine but the secondary line says alarm waiting for extension association from SRC.

Not really sure what the SRC is as I wasn't involved with putting this system in. I checked the MBG and found references to an SRC server. I logged into that server and stopped and started services which didn't resolve the issue.

I'm not sure where to start tshooting. These phones are not teleworkers and to my knowledge this was working before as the manager reviews both internal and external calls. I've rebooted the phone but have not restarted the SRC server.

I've got several numbers I couldn't port over to my SIP provider so I had the carrier call forward those to a number on my SIP provider for efax to work. Found out that the telco provider was sending the invite with the original number and my SIP provider would drop those calls as the TO field had the wrong number. Telco says they cannot change this form so the removed the call fowarding and I tried to forward from my side. The SIP provider said it should work but I need to enable T.38. I saw where to do this on vMCD and MBG. I'm wondering if I need to enable it on both spots and if that's advised?

On the MBG there's two places and under codecs its either redistricted to G729 or G711 or unrestricted. I'm hesitant to flip this to unrestricted but maybe it's not a big deal.

Hello,

I have been moving us in the following direction based on my Mitel partners recommendations. Now that I'm 99% there I wanted to reach out to this group and see what others think. I understand some of the design is based on how much risk we are willing to accept and how much money we want to spend.

we have roughly 50 sites and I've consolidated all sites to a VMCD and were using SIP for outbound and inbound calls. I have another physical box at our backup DC with a backup SIP circuit. If our primary SIP circuit is full calls will flow out this backup. If the primary SIP circuit gets cut all DIDs will roll over to the backup controller.

I've been told this is what most industries are going to in terms of design. Can others validate this?

Hello,

Wondering if anyone could suggest a closed caption phone that will work with vMCD? I currently have a CapTel phone works great but this uses an analog port on back of 3300. I'm centralizing our environment and need to find something that will work across the WAN utilizing vMCD and SIP I assume.

I've recently enabled account code classification and it appears that if you use your phone vs ignite I can then review the code within management studio. If you use ignite only the code doesn't make its way over to management studio. Is it possible to use ignite and have these codes show up in mgt studio?
