Normally people on site can press "0" to reach the operator however after hours the operator line is forwarded to another department at extension 1234.
If we try and dial "0" then we get the message "operator absent" alternatively we can dial "1000" and that will get us to the operator or where the operator is
forwarding to.

What can I do to get "0" to work even if the operator is being forwarded?
Mitel 3300.

Currently I have a line where calls go to a phone line rings and eventually sends them to VM where a message is played and they
can leave a message. So I'm just trying to get the line to directly go to VM as this phone will not be answered, bonus points if we can do this without using
an IP license.

Hello Mitel community,

I'm working on a Mitel 3300

We have a phone tree where when a person selects option 2 it goes to the front desk, and if they don't pickup it goes to their VM.

I"m trying to add another extension it will go to before going to the VM of the front desk.

Currently I've setup a ring group where option 2 of the phone tree
rings at the front desk (1234) then rings the to backup line (1235)
but then I don't know how to send it to the VM of (1234).

Short version: When I try to listen to a voicemail message on a 5330e I get an error message
"The voice message cannot be played because a system error has occurred."



Long version:
I'm having trouble accessing voicemail on a 5330e IP phone.
When a message is on the extension the phone lights up as expected
and it is possible to access the voicemail by dialing 5481 to get to our VM
controller. However most users access their voicemail by pressing the mail
key and having it then prompt them to enter their voicemail pin.
However this phone when you press that button the interface prompts
you to login. So you login through the interface then select the message
and press play. Then you receive the error message " The voice message cannot be played because a system error has occurred." 

*Other than this one model all of the other 400+ phones are working just fine in our mitel 3300 controller.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Can't delete analog line.

Hello Mitel community,

 I'm trying to delete an analog line ext 1284 and I get an error "Changing device number and hosting information at the same time is not allowed". I'm not trying to change the device number. If I go into the device and hit apply without making any changes I get "resiliency is not supported for the specified device type" Any ideas?

I'm not familiar with resiliency, my only goal here is to delete this extension so I can recreate it on an IP phone.

This is all on a Mitel 3300

How can I setup multiple call forward button each with a different number?
We have a mitel 3300 controller

Basically we have a line we want to forward, and the number it is going to forward to
changes depending on the day of the week with a total of 4 different forward contacts.

We have users who accidentally trigger a callback request giving them a constant flashing light.
How could I disable this feature on the mitel 3300 controller so we stop having this issue?

We have a doctor who has a Mitel 5505 IP phone and wants to be able to be able to easily toggle  forwarding calls from this phone to a cellphone.
Other Mitel phone models it's easy to setup a button to do this but the 5505 doesn't appear to have the option.

We've recently setup a Mitel 5505 which has a flashing message indicator when a VM is received.
However when you press the button it does nothing.
Users can still reach the vm by dialing 5481 to get to our VM controller
at which point the controller recognizes their phone and sends them to review their VM box.

Any idea what the message button flashes but doesn't send people to their VM box?

We have 2 mitel controllers 1 at 8.10 and one at 8.5.
Which work great other than if someone has a VM on either they aren't able to
transfer it to the other. Could someone please recommended a solution?

Currently we've been using voicemail to email but it's kind of a clunky work around.

We have phone where it needs to be able to have an indicator for voicemail on other lines in the department.
Currently we've bound secondary vm to the keypad keys which does give a flashing indicator, on a Mitel 5312.

Though users feel like the small flashing button isn't obvious enough is there a way to have a more obvious
indicator for secondary voicemail boxes?

Is it possible to forward calls from a Mitel 5505 phone with base unit?
I've checked the manual and it looks like the phone doesn't directly support call forwarding.

Even it isn't possible for users to forward calls, is there a different wireless Mitel phone model that you would recommended?

I have 2 Android phones setup as SIP using the Bria Android App.

I"m trying to figure out how to get them to monitor and direct to the same voice mail.

Using a ring group people ext 6746 which causes 6745 and 6744 to ring simultaneously 
If a voice mail is left it resides on ext 6744 VM, Bria monitors and dials into our VM server using 5481

This works as intended for the 6744 phone however for the 6745 phone I need to find a way to  have
it refer to 6744's VM Box. In the Bria app the only information required is the VM server, so just 5481.
However when I use this for the 6745 phone I get the server but have to specify my VM extension,
this method also does not monitor if VM are available on VM 6744.

TLDR: I need to attach multiple extensions to the same VM and don't have the option of just setting up
a message waiting indicator.

So the Bria app works fine with our mitel phone system as long as the app is pointing towards our internal mitel address.

However a recent update has made it so push notifications are required to keep the app in a state where it can receive calls if the screen is off. So I need to change the domain from our internal mitel controller to an external address.

So my question is where could I find that address for a Mitel Mxe-III system?

Hi,

So I'm using a SIP Voip app called Bria to connect to our mitel system which works but we want it to also share an extension with one of the Mitel IP 5324 sets.
If I try to set the extensions to be the same I get a ext already in use error.
