Using the internal bridge with a 10 channel AT&T BVOIP PRI, delivered via Fiber.   No other traffic is on the connection except for the voice.

Client complains or poor audio in the bridge, static and low volume.   We have replaced the PRI card and the processor and have AT&T looking at the PRI/running a log capture  We are unable to duplicate after numerous tests,   AT&T also can't duplicate.   

I thought maybe a bad channel, but we've loaded the bridge up with 10 users and still can't duplicate. 

Any thoughts?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Feature Request - Any Success

Wondering about people's success with feature requests from Mitel.   I put in a request for a Phone Manager Mobile feature, and even though Xarios owns that product,  it had to run through Mitel.

The request was to be able to answer a Phone Manager Mobile Call on the locked screen, rather that tapping the notification, unlocking the phone, and then answering.   Pretty straight forward request and other Mobile Soft-phone Apps already support this.

Let me know if you have had success in the past, and if you want to jump on to this feature request please do.   Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Compact Flash Failures

Is anyone else seeing failures of the Compact Flash?  We are seeing a few a month, usually due to power failures (and a dead battery back up), but the latest once just happened after a remote restart.

When the fail, basically they become corrupt and need to be replaced.

Have a client who is using Record A Call to record Ad hoc conferences in a Mitel 250 system with version 6.2 software.  Client is stating that the wav files being sent to their email addresses are only 30 mins long, even though the recorded conference call is longer than 30 mins. 

We have already lengthened the mailboxes to have no message length limit/mailbox limit, and extended the Rec A Call Timer to 120 minutes.

Usually the calls are within a single office, although sometimes they take place from 1 node to another. 

Any ideas?  Searched for a Conference Timer limit but couldn't find any timer that was set to 30 mins. 

Is there a max file size for the WAV attachment?

Feel silly even asking this, but one of my techs is telling me this can't be done.

Square system with 8528 Digital Phones where each phone has all 6 line appearances.  3 of the 7 phones are set to ring on all incoming calls, but client would like to be able to answer incoming calls on Non Ringing Phones, by pressing the Line Key, instead of 4+EXT of a ringing phones.

We rarely set up square systems,  and more often than not use Pooled Line Keys and Parks.
   
Any help would be appreciated.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Dual LED on 8528 Square System

Client has square system, and 8528 phones.  Tech is having an issues getting the Green LEDs active.

Main issue is when a user places a call on Hold, it flashes the same color (Red)  and cadence as other calls on hold.

Tech has checked flags and Dual Color LEDS are selected.  What are we missing?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Naming inbound DIDs

Looking to associate company names to inbound calls by the DID that was dialed.    To further complicate, the Receptionist answers and transfer to CSRs who also work for multiple companies, so the transferred call needs to show the company instead of "transferred from Reception".

Scenario:  Receptionist answers for 15+ companies, and needs to answer the phone for each organization with the appropriate verbiage.    My Mitel SE suggested Hunt Groups with the Receptionist as the only member.  In this scenario the receptionist is seeing the caller ID, not the Hunt Group Name.  Can we populate the screen with the Hunt Group name instead of Caller ID?

Scenarion 2: Mitel Sales Support suggested a DID pointed to CRA announcements with no message recorded, and the receptionist as the destination.  Issue here is that we have tried to deleted the "your call is being answered by Mitel..."  from the system announcements, but it plays none the less.   It also appears that the TRs from XXXX Corp doesn't follow when the call is transferred.


Any ideas or preferred methods.  Would like to stay away from Phantom DNs on different buttons if possible.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Holiday Greeting Best Practices

Have a client who wants an easy way to activate Holiday Greetings for their 250.  My techs say to user Star and that is fine except when the client decides to close early the day before, and Star is not set to kick in.

Any creative ideas or work arounds, besides recording the Day and Night CRA's?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Outbound Caller ID ona Per Call Basis

Have a potential client who is a Rep for 25 other companies and provides CSR type services for their 25 clients.  They are looking at a MiVoice 250 and would like to be able to control the outbound caller ID on a call by call basis either through a button (different trunk groups for each client?) or dial access code. 

For example EXT 1005 may make calls on behalf of 10 different companies and they want the outbound CID to match the company he is calling from.

Is this possible?  Dial tone is a PRI. 

In the discovery stages with them, so any hardware that is needed can be included.

Is it possible to use both off a 5330 phone?  Have a Reception position that wants to do this., but I cant see a way to make it work.

Has anyone tried this?  Client is looking for a cost effective cordless option, and whats to use SIP based phones not analog.

New 5000 install, with Copy and Forward set up to local Exchange Server.  Client is getting the email resent about every 30 mins, unless they check the Voice Mail on their phone.

Any ideas?  thank you in advance.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / 5330e Context Softkeys - Top 3 Rows

Setting up out in house system and the 5330s are coming up without the contextual softkeys on the first 3 rows of the display.  It is allowing us to program all 11 buttons on each of the 3 pages, instead of 8.

Is there are flag of setting that needs to be changed in order for the context softkeys to display?

If it helps, plug the phones in and held 7 down to enter Teleworker mode.   From there entered the IP address and PIN.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Rotating After Hours Service Tech

System is going to be a Mitel 250/5000 with 8 Pots lines and 8528 and 8568 phones.  Right now (in legacy system)  they have after hours rotating service techs and  they pass a cell phone around on a nightly basis.    Call comes in, caller navigates via dial options and leaves a message in  a mailbox, which then notifies to the cell phone.   The mailbox also send s a copy to the Admin mailbox, so dispatch can check to make sure the Service Emergency messages get handled. 


They want to get away from this nightly passing of the cell phone and use the cell phones the techs already have.

What is the best way to allow the customer to easily change where the Service Emergency dial option goes to.   

Would the following work?  Set up a Phantom Service Emergency DN as a dial option and also Phantom DNs/Mailboxes for each on call tech?  I can then manually forward the Phantom Service Emergency DN to the Phantoms On call Tech Mailboxes based on the On call Schedule. 

The key is for the client to be able to control the forwarding to the correct mailbox easily.
