MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Dial by name setup

I am trying to understand the process for setting up dial by name.

We have 4 locations with controllers at each location and users w/mailboxes at each location.
By default, it only appears that the main branch controller mailboxes are listed in the dial by name directory.

Is there a way to link all controllers to the dial by name directory or what steps am I supposed to be completing?

I recently discovered that a conference call access code is (by default??) setup active for any extension.  SO my security questions are:

  • Can this be disabled so a passcode must be created by a user?
  • Can codes be set to auto expire so they don;t linger active forever?

Mitel 5000 and Phone Manager.  I have normal calls forwarded, but when a user signs in as an agent those calls still ring to the desk phone

I Have 4 Mitel 5000 controllers and 1 MOAS running phone manager.
For whatever reason the MOAS lost it's ip address and now that that's been fixed, none of the branches extensions are listed-only the main branch where the MOAS resides is listed.  Support techs cannot find anything wrong yet.  All my desk phones are locked at the last phone manager status.

1) any ideas to get the extension back
2)any ideas how to override the phone manager status to get my desk phones back working?

Our phone manager server is offline and any phone that has a send calls to vm status is not receiving calls.
Is there a way to override that so we can get calls?

Mitel Software Applications / Phone Manager Status Options are missing

I setup a new desk and this user doesn't have any status options via phone manager.  Everything else is active, but there isn't even a section for status.
What did I miss with the setup?  I cannot see any difference between users.

Mitel Software Applications / Phone Manager Hot Desk OOO Status

We have recently enabled hot desking on a 5000 system.  One thing we've noticed is that when a hot desk user changes their status to an out of the office, the desk phone also goes in a DND status.
Are we doing something incorrectly, or how do we keep the desk phone active while changing the hot desk user status?

Mitel Software Applications / Phone Manger Directories

I am not understanding how to create or view user contact directories.  The help states I can link Outlook (I have this feature licensed), but the only contact group shown is the company directory.

Mitel Software Applications / Phone Manger failed to connect

I have 30 installs working just fine.  I upgraded a Win7 box to Win10 using the full pro version of 10 install DVD and this pc won;t connect.
Am I missing a pre-req?
I can ping the server, but keeps failing on connecting.

I am at a loss.

I am looking to replace the default recording when the first person calls in. 
Does this recording loop, or does it play once and then silence?

If it loops, I'll build in a long pause so the "please wait"  isn't obnoxious.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Installing SysAdmin & Diag 6.3

I am running 32-bit MS office and the 32-bit Mitel states I have a 64 bit office installed.  I'm at a loss at to what is hosing this up.
I have Visual C++ (various redistributable) in 32 and 64 bit - not sure if that matters with this install.

Is there a log that states exactly what is the conflict?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / VM issue xfer controller to controller

First, I have no idea how this was working to begin with, but now this is broken.
All I did was replace an on-prem email spam filter, with a cloud based server.

My vm xfer to other branches no longer works.  I was told to 'simply' create DNS entries for the controllers on my internal DNS.  I can not do this as the "PTR record cannot be created, probably because the reference reverse lookup zone cannot be found"

Should I manually create the reverse lookup zone on my DNS?
