MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Polycom ip6000
« on: January 23, 2017, 12:26:12 PM »
Anyone had any luck configuring the IP6000 to use as SIP on 5000?  This is a clients existing phone and I haven't been able to replace the settings.  It looks like I can view current settings from display at MENU/STATUS/LINES, but can't change them there.  I know there's a web interface but I can't login there as Administrator pass 456 or Polycom pass 456, but 456 seems to work from keyboard menu.  Theoretically there's a doc at the Mitel SIP COE, but I've never been able to actually find any of those docs (11-4949-00157 or 11-4940-00158).

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Manual FWD to 800 number on PRI
« on: February 20, 2016, 01:51:50 PM »
I need to fwd to an answering service after hours.  Pretty simple, create phantom and manually forward it.  Problem is, you can't fwd to an 800 number if the trunk group is set to propagate original caller ID.  I guess this is because they need true caller ID to bill the 800 call correctly.
I'm not propagating caller ID on this particular phantom, but doesn't seem to matter...if trunk group flag is yes, it won't work, call fails (local and LD work fine).  I hate to lose that caller ID on extensions using cell twinning, so really want to keep propagating on.
My current solution is that I've forwarded that phantom to a LS port looped to a SL port, so 800 call leaves on a LS line, no problem, then re-enters on SL and leaves again as a call dialed by the SL port, so again no problem.  Works, but not an elegant solution.
Anyone have a better idea?

Client is using both standard and alternate keymaps on 8528 phones, wanted to allow using web interface to program keys on both maps.  Found that if I shift to alternate map before logging in I can program that map.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / UM broken on Office 365
« on: September 16, 2015, 05:03:41 PM »
Just in case you run into it, Microsoft has done their customers another favor by adding a new "clutter" folder in Outlook 365 a couple weeks back.  Unfortunately it chose to send all my client's voice mails there.  Spent a lot of time troubleshooting the UM-to-email integration (SMTP, in this case), trying to figure out how it broke (it worked for a year) until we found all those v-mails hiding in the CLUTTER folder.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Axxess software
« on: August 27, 2015, 12:30:09 PM »
Looking for DB Prog software for Axxess 10.002 and 8.232 and it doesn't appear to be on MOL any more.  Any idea where it went?  I'm certified, have MOL access, and I've been getting into these on my old XP machine, but I'd like to leap into the 21st century!
