« on: August 24, 2020, 05:30:59 AM »

When I log in using the system user and the password I could open the System Administration Tool but when I try to open the Server Manager a get "You are not authorized to access this area" error message. I suspect it is somehow related to this http://mitelforums.com/forum/index.php?topic=11556.msg52082#msg52082
. Do you have any ideas how to fix it?

Mitel Software Applications / Warning e-mail from Let's Encrypt
« on: March 29, 2020, 04:30:32 PM »
I've got following e-mail from Let's Encrypt. Do you know how to switch the MSL server to start using ACMEv2?

Hi,

According to our records, the software client you're using to get Let's Encrypt TLS/SSL certificates issued or renewed at least one HTTPS certificate in the past two weeks using the ACMEv1 protocol. Here are the details of one recent ACMEv1 request from each of your account(s):

Client IP address:  xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

User agent:  curl/7.19.7 (x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu) libcurl/7.19.7 NSS/3.27.1 zlib/1.2.3 libidn/1.18 libssh2/1.4.2

Hostname(s):  "mbg.mitel.xxxxxxxxxx.eu","mbg.mitel.xxxxxxxxxx.eu","micollab.mitel.xxxxxxxxxx.eu","mcd.mitel.xxxxxxxxxx.eu"

Request time:  2020-03-08 03:27:25 UTC

Beginning June 1, 2020, we will stop allowing new domains to validate using the ACMEv1 protocol. You should upgrade to an ACMEv2 compatible client before then, or certificate issuance will fail. For most people, simply upgrading to the latest version of your existing client will suffice. You can view the client list at: https://letsencrypt.org/docs/client-options/

If you're unsure how your certificate is managed, get in touch with the person who installed the certificate for you. If you don't know who to contact, please view the help section in our community forum at https://community.letsencrypt.org/c/help and use the search bar to check if there's an existing solution for your question. If there isn't, please create a new topic and fill out the help template.

ACMEv1 API deprecation details can be found in our community forum:
https://community.letsencrypt.org/t/end-of-life-plan-for-acmev1

As a reminder: In the future, Let's Encrypt will be performing multiple domain validation requests for each domain name when you issue a certificate.
While you're working on migrating to ACMEv2, please check that your system configuration will not block validation requests made by new Let's Encrypt IP addresses, or block multiple matching requests. Per our FAQ (https://letsencrypt.org/docs/faq/), we don't publish a list of IP addresses we use to validate, and this list may change at any time.

When I try to enable MiTeam Meetings I get "Unable to assign MiTeam Meeting feature.-Fobridden Request" error message.

On MiTeam Console I assigned the MiTeam Meetings 6 moths license to the account already.

I have a case open with Mitel where deployment profile is not filled with SIP user and password and it should be fixed in 9.1.3, I'm not sure it could relate to this issue.

Any ideas how to fix it or troubleshoot it?

Is it possible to use the same extension (directory number) for multiple tenants. I think it is not possible, but if you have any ideas, please share.

I ran "GDM CHECK USERANDSERVICE" command and got this message:

A database inconsistency related to network element and cluster element was found.
This database inconsistency is a result of restoring a database backup taken from
a network element with a different IP address than that of the local network element,
likely before upgrading to release 4.0.
Please contact Mitel Product Support to resolve this issue, and then run
the maintenance command again.

Any ideas how this can be fixed?

Do you know if it is possible to configure MiVB SIP trunk to respond to incoming calls with "302 Moved Temporary" instead of sending INVITE request with Diversion header?

--> INVITE
<-- 100 Trying
<-- 180 Ringing
<-- 302 Moved Temporarily

Unfortunately our client decided to switch to a new SIP trunk provider and the new one requires this SIP signalling for diverted calls.

Mitel Software Applications / MiCollab Client audio settings
« on: February 05, 2019, 06:04:19 AM »
I have connected Plantronics Headset C310 and some Microsoft web camera. With both devices connected, the MiCollab Client is always using the microphone from the web camera as default.

When no call is active the audio settings in the MiCollab Client is disabled (the the attached screenshot) and the microphone device cannot be changed to Plantronics C310. The microphone settings can only be changed during a call, but it is annoying to change the microphone every call.

In windows audio settings I have the audio input device set to Plantronics C310 (see the attached screenshot).

Any ideas how to tell the MiCollab client to always use Plantronics C310 as default?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Ability to reject call on SIP phone
« on: December 22, 2018, 05:09:35 PM »
I was putting my hopes into the latest release 9.0 SP1 where finally would it be possible to correctly reject calls on SIP phones. I was talking about this subject with Mitel support several times and their answer was that it works as by design, unfortunately very poor design, I think.

If you do an internal call to a SIP phone registered to MiVB (could be an X-lite or a Mitel 6865i SIP phone) or an external to a mobile phone via SIP trunk, if the user hits a Reject Call button the caller still hears the ringing tone. Basically once MiVB receives SIP 180 Ringing it ignores 486 Busy Here or 480 Temporarily Unavailable messages.

Is anybody also struggling with this?

Those who already upgraded to MiVB 9.0, could you try to switch some of your 52xx or 53xx phones to a SIP mode and test it? I tested 4 different phones and none of them worked:

Mitel 5312 (Main ver 06.05.00.18): after the phone booted up I could not access the phone's web interface and configure the SIP parameters
Mitel 5212: the phone did not boot to the SIP mode at all
Mitel 5330 (Main ver 6.03.03.13): after the phone booted up I could not access the phone's web interface and configure the SIP parameters
Mitel 5320e (Main ver 06.05.00.18): after the phone booted up I could not access the phone's web interface and configure the SIP parameters

Any ideas?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / SFTP/FTP access to Virtual MiVB 9.0
« on: October 31, 2018, 10:50:48 AM »
Maybe the solution is very simple. I'm trying to download a PCAP file (generated by the SIP TCPDUMP ON command) from a virtual MiVB 9.0 system but with no luck. I scanned the MiVB IP address for open ports, and the FTP port 21 does not seem to be open at all. Port 22 (SFTP) seems to be open, I coudn't connect using any of the well known user names (system/admin/root). Could anyone provide please any ideas?

In MiVB 9.0 docs there is only:

SIP TCPDUMP ON

Trunk & Line side

Starts TCPDUMP (capturing signaling packets) for SIP signaling on MiVoice Business.

Captured data is saved into files and placed in the /Vmail folder. All SIP signaling files in the /Vmail folder have names in the format of WS_xxxxxx.pcap. A maximum of 20 files of approximately 55-Mbyte size can be created by MiVoice Business. To collect captured data, manually ftp all WS_xxxxxx.pcap files in the /Vmail folder and use the Wireshark application to view them.

NOTE: Once retrieved, it is strongly recommended to delete all WS_*.pcap files.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Help with CCS trace
« on: October 09, 2018, 07:45:53 AM »
We have a customer with two PRI lines from the same provider (old and new), calling out work fine on both lines but calling in on the new PRI line does not.

This is CCS trace from the old functional trunk where incoming call is correctly answered on an extension 206:

11:42:55 RI113 DPN 2B ISRM_I  ;10;*3#*19*Z#*58*Ca*1*Z#*233*dIBc#*58*CI*W6a#

When a second PRI line is used the incoming call does not get thru (what I understood from the CCS trace the ICP is not responding and the other site is re-sending the request until it times out):

11:45:30 RI204 DPN 2  CRM/CIM ;0;

Both PRI lines are using the same physical port on a Dual Framer module. We just test one PRI line and when we connect the second PRI line to the same port on the ICP.

Any ideas why the ICP is not responding to the ISRM_I and SSRM_C requests?

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Dialing from Outlook
« on: April 11, 2018, 05:20:18 AM »
Maybe a stupid question, but is it possible to install some plugin to enable dialing from Outlook on a site where only ICP 3300 & MBG is installed? I know it is possible when UCA client is installed with a UCA (or MiCollab) server.
