Officially no
Unofficially, if you have external hot desk user licenses you can create an EHDU that points to the console. Then you can add the EHDU extension to the ring group
I tested it successfully, but when I went to roll out they said they didnt want it any more so I have not used in production

It can be done, it is one of the reasons for the two lan ports
look into spanning tree protocols to stop the loopback

He could be using the "Group Presence" feature access codes (there is six in total) to leave the queues he does not want to answer

Check his Class of Service to see if "Group Presence Control" is on or not that will allow him to use the feature access codes

What about using loudspeaker paging and just having a speaker in the security office?

I was thinking over this and thought of 2 things
One was v2win's suggestion of paging (though I was thinking paging group of nominated handsets)

second option is if you have MiCC or some other sort of IVR, you could do a call flow that answers the call, then sends an email to nominated people/group then hangs up. Then they could use "Hotel/Motel Room Monitor Listen" FAC to listen in on the extension

have you tried added the vpn network range to the "trusted networks" in the Mitel Standard Linux interface?

The customer is wanting it to work like the NuPoint does for Emergency Weather conditions so each site would need to go into Emergency Mode by itself.

I cant remember what version they added it in (think it was version 7, but it definitely in 8) that you can put individual hunt groups (or extensions) into emergency mode (instead of putting the whole system into emergency mode)

In a management subroutine look for Set Device Mode of Operation (instead of the Set System Mode of Operation)
The Default Management Subroutine is a good example to check out

it will normally clear on the next successful auto backup
Ive never tried doing a manual backup to see if it clears, but if that doesn't work it may just be worth pointing to a working FTP server and do 1 more auto backup

Depending how you have your AA setup

I upload them using "System Audio Files Updates" and then selecting "Mailbox Greeting" then selecting the mailbox number of menu node

Note if it is a new menu node, you will still need to call the voicemail system and do the initial setup (recording pin, name and greeting, which I leave silent at this point)

Make sure your audio files are formatted correctly

I recall some of the older software versions are really painful to upload with (I'm on version MiVB 7.2)

With MiVB 9 / Micollab 8.1 / MiCC 9 there is the option for agents to select their outgoing number within web Ignite.

Interesting, unfortunately I'm still a couple versions behind

Thanks everyone for their input, decided to stay as is for the moment.

they are wanting each agent to be able to select different DIDs for outbound calls

Hi
Trying to make a change for a growing contact centre
They have multiple queues (ACD)
They want to display different DID numbers depending on who and why they are calling
I currently have some multicall buttons on their 5330 phones combined with some CPN Subsitution

What other solutions do I have to try to replicate this as they are out growing this method

The new EX controllers dont support ASUs (you can get an analogue card with 4 extensions)

I swear peoples reluctance to let go of their faxes is going to do me in
Were I am now is not an issue, but my previous roll had 22 faxes in 1 building (of 800 people) where none wanted to let go of their faxes or move to a fax2email solution

Mitel Software Applications / Re: MiVoice Business call logs

For MiVoice Business there are the SMDR logs you can view

Under maintenance commands you can run the "LOGSYS READ smdr" there is a list of options
I use "LOGSYS READ smdr ALL MATCH <string>" most often

you can also you can also telnet into the controller using raw port 1752

there are guides around that tell you how to read the data

and there are some 3rd party solutions that will put it in a friendlier version that you can then search and report on
