Their support PRIOR to you buying the equipment is excellent... They can recommend a device that will do what you want if they have it available.

3
I would call Viking and explain what you are trying to do, their sales support is really good.

So out of curiosity to anyone in the beta program for the 6900 series phones (assuming your not under a NDA), how is the functionality of the sets on the 5000 compared to the 5330/5340 series phones? We know that SIP phones on the 5000 are a bit limited, are there many functional limitations of the 6900 series on the 5000?

I am a little different on this one... There are lots of third party CCA options out there

CommView Plus or CommView Cloud
RSI Shadow CMS
WinSense 32
CommOne

Are just a few off the top of my head. The MiVO 250 is unique in that it requires a special handshake to occur to start the SMDR stream, so there are not as many options as for other systems.

Can they actually leave a message and what error message do they get at the end of the recording? A one-way audio issue will cause this behavior.

And what is the command to try it please.

Reset....?
It is clearly in the help, and will autocomplete...

RESET_ALL_LOGIN_PASSWORDS

or

RESET_LOGIN_PASSWORD <username>

This can also be done from the RTC shell with: ResetAllLoginPasswords or ResetLoginPassword "username"

And yes, you can clear user "system" from another account.

And this is both a blessing and a curse, but it is clearly a security hole.

Sure, it is a live, one-way announcement to a group of phones.

Directly from system help:

Group Page allows you to make an announcement to a group of people through the speaker of their telephones. A tone is heard at both the paging telephone and the paged telephone before the Group Page is established. During a Group Page, the paging set displays the number of the group being paged; the paged sets do not display any paging information.

Open the on-line help and navigate to System Features - Features D to G - Group Page

You can also add in a 5485 IP Paging adapter, so yes you can page phones and overhead simultaneously.

So like an instant conference... Hmm... Got me there, I have no idea how you could possibly do that.

What is group page, i never use it
Put a bunch of phones in a group, then you direct page the group and basically it's a one-way announcement for a group of phones... like "Mark, you have call parked on 1101" or "Free pizza in the lunch room" (I can dream, right?). Often a substitute when you don't have overhead paging.

You mean Group Page via the phones? Sure... Build the page group, then set the code under a speed dial.

Or are you referring to a Loudspeaker (overhead) page?

Is it possible to setup Wakeup calls from guest rooms using Wakeup feature from the PBX?
I know it's doable from the console.
Typically this would be a function of the voicemail. It is a default option for a Guest Mailbox in Embedded Voicemail, and I think it is a FCOS bit in Nupoint.

I found the technician function codes for call forwarding, but not for removing that prompt. I'll keep looking

Thank you
Actually, that might be what I was incorrectly thinking of because I can't find it after looking for a few minutes.

Yes... I believe it's in the docs, it uses Technician Function codes on a per mailbox basis that you have to edit via the admin mailbox in the TUI.  Not at my desk at the moment, but I am pretty sure it is in the System Administrator's Mailbox section of the Folio file.

Yeah, good luck with that... But there is a pretty simple way to do it.

The SIP trunk itself should be easy, then put it in a trunk group and send it to a Call Routing Table and this should take care of incoming calls (I can't help with the Toshiba side). For outgoing calls, I find this type of scenario is usually easiest to give them a trunk group button (or a short extension number on the trunk group) and press the key/dial extension and then dial the 4 digit extension of the phone on the other system.

Pretty generic but it's reliable and easy to use. True intercom dialing is very difficult... perhaps a someone who has been successful at this has a better idea.
