Thanks again TE.
I re-read the document and set the login and passwords as they should be -still no beans!
I ended up calling Mitel tech support and they found a  'reject any rule' on the 250 firewall - which when removed allowed the SIP traffic to flow and lo and behold we have comms!

It's a good day when I learn something new!

Thanks again for your help!

I have 6 dect 112 phones to connects with a Mivoice250.
I have programmed the phones on the 250 and added them to the SIP Phone group p9001.
The handsets are registered to the base and are all showing as 'present' on the handset list on the base.
I just cannot get them to register SIP.
I am using the programmed extension number as the Extension on the edit extension page of the Base station set up.
But what do I use for the  authentication user name and password?
I have tried the inbound authentication and user name from the SIP peer group and I have tried the extension number from the phone 250 with the  passcode for the phone. Nothing seems to work. It shows as the extensio on the handset for about 10 seconds and the goes back to NO SIP REG on eth handset .
Can someone tell me the right combination of username and password from the 250 to enter into the extension page on the base station?

thansk in advance!

Thanks TE,
I just upgraded to 6.3.9.102 and unfortunately am still getting the same errors.
I will reach out to eth email providers to see if they have ti change anything.
The only difference I see in the programming is 'Allow any authorization servers' in the email gateway. Does this have to be set to yes or no or doesn't it matter?

We are having issues with vmail to email on a system running 6.2.2
The IT/email provider says - I believe the issue may be that our SMTPS server now requires TLS 1.2. The Mitel voicemail system most likely needs an update applied to support TLS 1.2.

Would an upgrade to the latest version of the MIVOICE250 fix this issue and allow TLS1.2?

Thanks for the reply. One of our other techs actually suggested using an old version of Firefox which worked great.

A customer is having difficulties getting onto her extension web page (she uses Edge or Chrome)
A short while ago it stopped working and she now gets a page showing SSL version of Cipher Mismatch and 'Unsupported protocol
The client and server don't support a common SSL protocol version or cipher suite.'

I cant seem to find info on how or where I can try and update the SSL certificate if that s ths issue as I cannot get past this page when trying to log into the web user access

Yeah, that's what I thought. ILl maybe pop up there tomorrow or Friday to see what's happening (Probably PICNIP - Problem In Chair, Not In Phone)  :)

I have a customer with a 5360 reception phone.
They have 3 analogue trunk lines 9Loop Start) with 3 Trunk 'line' buttons for the lines programmed on all phones
She switches between using the phone handset and a headset quite often.
She says that when she answers a call on the phone handset and puts it on 'Hold' it is able to be picked up at a different extension by pressing the relevant flashing line button(System Hold)
But if she answers the phone using the headset and presses the same hold button, it cant be picked up by another extension! I dont know why using a headset should make a difference to the system hold.
You can see on the attached screenshot that the hold key is a system hold!
Any ideas?
Thanks

Thanks Ace - I just checked the backup I have. The CRA IS on the recall and overflow and announce are set to None.
The CRA is 404 and I do have 404 set as the transfer recall destination in its own settings (CRA404 Transfer recall is 404)
CRA 404 times out to CRA 408 which has no greeting but times out to General Mailbox 100. (Which is where the messages were being left)  CRA 408 Transfer recall destination is also 408.
Could it be that since the customer didnt leave a message, the 'transfer' to the mailbox recalls to the CRA over and over again?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Incoming call loops - on analogue trunks
« on: November 10, 2021, 12:32:25 PM »
On my last two installs, I have had a similar issue with incoming call loops. Both used analogue trunks.
The first install was set to ring a hunt group, which is unanswered recalled to a CRACRA message and this timed out to the general mailbox voicemail. One day after install the general mailbox has 355 empty 5-second messages from the same caller id and seemed to be receiving a call from them every 2 minutes. It looked like something internally was 'redialling' the CRA to me and then directing it to the timeout 'voicemail' I eventually reset the system as we were unable to stop it any other way.
Then on a different install yesterday - as soon as we connected to the analogue trunks we received a call to line 1 and the answer hunt group. Then after hanging up, the same number called line 1 again and again, ringing the hunt group phones but there was never anyone on the line. This time we unplugged the line 1 cable and twisted it together to make it busy. Then when we reconnected a few minutes later, it worked properly and has worked since.

I wondered if this could be the same issue - either with my programming or maybe even the provider ( same trunk provider for both) It seemed to happen on the first incoming call when the live trunks were connected.

Anyone else ever experienced something like this?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Grandstream DP75 and DP720 SIPphone
« on: October 22, 2021, 12:45:19 PM »
Hi, Has anyone set up a Grandstream DP720 as a SIP phone using the DP750 Voip Base station to the Mivoice250?
I assumed that using the local PBX IP as the SIP server address and inbound authentication name and password would be enough to get the handset to register to the 250.
But I cant seem to get it to register.
If anyone has got SIP phones working o the 250 please let me know how to do it!

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Gmail fix or alternative
« on: July 02, 2021, 10:19:10 AM »
Good morning everyone!
I have a few customers using Gmail for their voicemail to emails. It used to work everytime, but in the last year or so t works - them fails and its become a pain.
I have the 'less secure apps' allowed and the Gmail SMTP details, but like I say, it works for a few occasions then fails again and again.

Does anyone know the fix for this? Somethiong that works and stays working or is there an issue with Gmail itself working with the 250?
The customers I have with Office365 work easily - But is there an alternative smtp email server/system that is free but works for this purpose that anyone know of? (aol? Yahoo?)

Thanks
