How do you go about enabling the Ringing Line Select option, and how would some disable it?

Hello,
I recently came across this issue with one of my co-workers were they are not able to answer an outside phone caller with the handset.
When a call comes in, they pick up the phone via the handset and have to press the line 1 button to answer.
Is this a configuration thing, or some kind of glich? I looked around a little and download 4 version of the Mitel user guide and have not found any solution.
