MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: Change STAR schedule via phone
« on: April 24, 2020, 11:04:52 PM »
Their system is not connected to the internet. I believe the new plan is to send them a new router and we will be setting up a VPN with them. Directing them on how to run a wire from their pbx to their internet modem so it will be connected to the internet. Then we will access remotely.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Change STAR schedule via phone
« on: April 21, 2020, 12:42:36 PM »
Mioffice 250 with 8568 digital phones.
Is there a way to change the STAR schedule via the phone? The client has changed their open/closed hours due to COVID-19 and we do not currently have remote access to change it in the backend. I am wondering if there is a way the client can change it by dialing something on their desk phone.

Otherwise the only solution would be an onsite visit (which we would then set up our remote access so this issue doesn't happen again)

I have a 3300 cxii. I have a personal ring group set up with 3 single line phones. Cx wants it set up so that if there is no answer on the phones then it will ring her cell phone.
I have created a speed call (202) which when dialed will dial her cell number. I have created a call rerouting 1st alternative (#7) as normal, normal, normal, normal, this, this, this, this, 202.
I have changed the call 1st alternative on each of the 3 phones in the ring group to 7.
In the class of service(1) for those phones the call forward no answer timer is set to 12...which should be 3 rings right? (I will change it to 16 for 4 rings)
I just tested it and it rang 7 times and never rerouted to her cell.

What is the correct way to set this up so that it rings 4 times and then if no answer, calls her cell?

Thanks for the reply. I didn't actually realize the top 3 buttons of the 5320 don't have lights. I did notice the amount of pages differed but we are only using 7 keys at the moment. That is also a good idea to add a button to change keymaps if needed. Thanks for the insight.

So i figured out I could just edit the 5320 keymap so it matches the layout of the 5330...Still seems silly that I can't just assign the 5330 keymap to the 5320 phone but oh well

Hello,

Is it possible to put a 5330 keymap on a 5320? I have mivoice office that has 2 5330 and 1 5320 phones and I want to make them all look the same. I have already created a new keymap folder and put all 3 phones into the same one that has both standard and alternative set to the 5330 keymap but my 5320 doesn't want to change. I am not sure what else is telling this phone to keep its original keymap. Or I am thinking it is not possible to have the 5320 use the 5330 keymap...but that just sounds silly

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Multi call keys vs Ring Group
« on: November 04, 2019, 01:28:24 PM »
I have taken over admin of a MiVoice Business and I have noticed that there is a ring group set up for 2 extensions to ring at the same time, but then there are multi call keys set up in a different department to get all their phones to ring at the same time. I am wondering what is the difference? I can't seem to find any significant differences so I am wondering why they weren't set up as both ring groups or both multi call keys?

We have a 3300 cx ii. 3 different companies programmed in the pbx with different tenant numbers. 1, 2, and 3. Issue is with company 2

When a call comes in during night mode it is forwarded to a speed call which calls the owners cell phone. The issue is that the caller id showing up on the owners phone is the wrong caller id. It is the caller id from company 1 (Not even his own, which is company 2). He would like the calling parties caller id to be passed on to his cell phone.

When a call comes in, it hits mailbox 4000 which gives them the AA tree. The issue I can't seem to work around is that 4000 does not show up in the User and Services Configuration sheet where I could then add a CPN substitution. The only COS I can find for 4000 is on the MiCollab NuPoint web console.

It seems to be using the default (company 1) main number as the caller id sent to the owners cell phone. How can we get it to work so the callers caller id can be sent to the owners cell phone so he knows who is calling?

We looked at setting up a phantom but that seems convoluted and not actually a phantom. If there is a work around for this then any help would be greatly appreciated.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: Program mivoice 250 remotely

Ok. It sounds very simple. I am going to repeat this back so I can make sure I understand.

I need to know the cx routers public address. (yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy)

I port forward ports 44000/TCP and 443/TCP to the MiVoice internal address (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)

Then on my own computer on my own network I type cx routers public address (yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy) and boom I'm in? I assume I would type it like so yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy:44000 or would I want :443?

I do not have to set a NAT address on the MiVoice 250?

If it really is this simple I will be making this a standard practice here as well. Some clients require us to take a ferry to come on site, so this would save our lives.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Program mivoice 250 remotely
« on: October 17, 2019, 02:04:57 PM »
I want to be able to program MiVoice 250 remotely. I have a few clients who are a few hours+ away which makes traveling to them for simple programming changes a pain.

I know I need to do something with NAT addresses, but I am fairly new to NAT so I was wondering where I get my NAT address from or do I just make one up? (some 172. address?)

I know there is also something I need to do on their router. As far as I know I would only need to open port 44000 since all I want to do is access DB Programming.

I just want to be able to login to DB Programming remotely.

I also saw something called Remote Configuration Settings (no, I did not make any changes in here, I just looked). Would this have anything to do with remotely accessing DB Programming?

Yup. I had that backwards. I changed the DTMF setting no the main menu to 1 and it solved it. Thanks for all your input!

Ok, gonna suggest something very silly but did happen to me once, any chance the recording itself has a 2 second delay?

No. It happened when we did a test records first as well. Same length of delay.

hi ,

in the Menu propreties , check :

** Maximum DTMF Length : 1
** Timeout  : 1

Note : If the timeout is set to 0 seconds the system defaults the timeout to 3 seconds.

Timeout : The number of seconds that the caller is given to respond with a valid key press as defined in the result.

Mine is set to:
Maximim DTMF Length: 1
Retry Count: 3
Timeout: 3

The main greeting which has no delay is set to:
Maximum DTMF Length: 4
Retry count: 3
Timeout: 3

Should I just copy that one and see if it makes a difference?

It is set to 1.

I have a MiVoice Business 8.0 SP3. We are also using NuPoint 19.1.0.101.01 in MiCollab 8.1.0.101

I have scoured the interwebs and can not for the life of me find the answer...and maybe there is none....

We have an AA Tree that has a menu that is entered when the caller presses 2. When they do, there is a 2 second delay before the greeting "press 1 for admin and 2 for operations" kicks in. It's long enough to make anyone who calls in think it didn't work...oh and then it did work...

Is there a way to get rid of that delay? There is no delay on the main greeting, only on the sub greeting.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: Hunt Group in AA tree
« on: September 25, 2019, 02:04:58 PM »
So remember that thing about assuming and ring groups?

Ya so I used a ring group and it worked like a charm. I just created a ring group and added the 2 lines, removed the multi call buttons on each phone, then put the ring group extension in the tree and voila! Solved.
