MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Mitel 5505 IP Cordless / License...
« on: November 13, 2019, 12:14:05 PM »
Trying to whip up a quick and cost effective cordless solution for a small client.   They have plenty of Category D license.

I can't find any information on the 5505.   Does it use a standard IP Category D license? or does it need a SIP license?

Too far from the HX controller to use a single line cordless solution..  So trying to get creative.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Multiple Ring (Day) -vs- STAR
« on: October 17, 2019, 06:15:05 PM »
I think I may be over complicating something so wanted to toss it out there.

A small restaurant I put an HX5000 into has eight phones, that when an inbound call comes in, they all ring.    Works for them as any waitress can grab the phone.

They want a single voicemail box, so that if they are busy and no one answers the call gets answered.    No call routing, just a simple / single mail box what hits the indicator light on all eight extensions.

What is the best way for a multiple ring situation to share one box?   I tried setting each phone to no ans/busy to go to the box, but that didn't work.

The follow-up is that the restaurant is closed two days a week, was thinking about using STAR for those days, would that that higher priority over a no-ans scenario?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: Replacement LCD For 5330/5340

FYI..   I heard back from the factory this morning.    That LCD assembly has been discontinued by them and is no longer in production or in stock.

So...  SOL....

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Replacement LCD For 5330/5340
« on: August 31, 2019, 02:27:14 PM »
Has anyone had any luck sourcing replacement LCDs for IP phones?

I tracked down the manufacturer (SGD Solomon GoldenTek Display) in Taiwan but while I wait for a response from them figured I'd toss it out there.

The 5330/5340 use LCD Assembly GY3216N5FTW6A

I've got a few dozen phones out there with various spots and blemishes and would like to think that a cost effective repair is possible.

That was GENIUS!

Worked perfectly...      Thank you!

I've been trying to do something that I thought would be an easy process, but seem to be missing the mark or perhaps it's not possible.

One of my clients has a smaller deployment, two inbound phone lines and eight extensions around the facility.       I've got the system doing system holds, so they can answer it on one phone and pick it up on another.   With only two people in the office any anyone time, it works perfectly for them.     Pretty simple, pretty basic and meets their needs.

I've got the trunks labeled LINE 1  and LINE 2.     Again pretty basic.

They have noticed that under the label there was a number, which is the trunk number.

So:     LINE 1
          94257

          LINE 2
          94258

Is there anyway possible to either (a) hide the trunk number so that it just displays LINE 1 and LINE 2 on the 5330 phones that they have?

or

Change the trunk number to match the local 7-digit number..

This is all in an effort to make it look better, strictly aesthetic.

Any suggestions?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / DB Programming 5.1.0.21
« on: November 18, 2018, 12:23:02 PM »
Need some assistance if possible.

I have taken over a HX5000 for a local Habitat For Humanity office.     The unit was installed by a vendor 2000+ miles away several years ago and after close to a month and the vendor wanting $400 to turn over the  admin password, we now have web access to the system, but need the DP programming application.

We have several minor changes to make and are donating our time to them.    I have 4x and 6x but not anything in the 5x series.

Can anyone be of assistance?     Without being a Mitel dealer (which we are far too small for) or paying a fortune we seem to be at a roadblock trying to help this local organization.
