Just a thought, unless you've already tried this you may want to try a simple reboot.
I just worked on a system a couple days ago that reported that the Config Assistant wasn't working. I troubleshot it and noticed the pre-recorded system greeting for the Config assistant and Conference assistant were playing "dead air". I fully expected to have to go to site and reload system prompts. I scheduled an overnight reboot and all fixed. So before you get out the sharp knives......try a reboot.

Anyone else seeing a lot of A028 alarms on recently upgraded systems ?
seeing them on several recent upgrades, the one I'm in now is 6.3.9.108 , using forward and copy, e mail gateway settings are good and new field "allow any author. servers" is set to "yes"
Anyone else seeing this ?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / DB test/repair tool

I had the need to test/repair a DB yesterday.
Anyone else notice this.
In the process it says "compacting database" , it used to be the file was much smaller after the process , now the file is much larger.
Also, didn't it let you save the "repaired" DB to a different name as I always kept the "before" and "after" to be safe ?
Now I don't see that is a possibility.
Running latest MSAD 6.3.99.0

Yeah, Hunt groups don't care about other rules.

I figured a work around for this.
I created a google voice account and added all the my customer service reps there.
Then i created a phantom extension for the google voice number and changed the destination ring on the voice application for the attendant

BTW I monitor this forum often and have learned so much from yourself and the other moderators and contributors so thank you very much for that.

Interesting that you felt it was not the CF but that you think it was hardware. I spoke to my onsite contact and asked them if they had any power outages recently and he said that they in fact had had some recently so that's what made me suspect that the CF got corrupted. If it should happen again I think I will heed your advice and pull all the modules and disconnect all the DEI's and reboot and see what I get, so thanks for that suggestion.
As to your other suggestion, I'm asking my warehouse guy for some old 5.0 CF's as you suggested as possible resolution, great idea, I didn't know he kept them.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Dodged a bullet, but what to do next time

So I got an emergency call on Saturday, system down,  stuck at waiting for CP
I figured the CF was hosed and went to site with a new CF, I knew they were at ver 5.0 so my plan was to convert DB to 6.x , load that to new CF and take care of Licensing first thing Monday A.M. when Mitel opens up.
However, to my surprise, once I arrived onsite,  I saw the were still sitting with a CS chassis, that throws my plan out the window,
as if I remember correctly you can't put 6.0 on a CS box.
Luckily, I was able to get the thing to shutdown gracefully and power up successfully, and then backed up everything.
I realize it's a matter of time until disaster strikes again and with that said I'm getting our sales team involved Monday to get them off the dime. But in theory, what were/are my options in that circumstance assuming I couldn't have recovered the CF.
Can I throw ver. 5.0 over top of a 6.0 CF (i.e. Downgrade the CF)
I've never tried or needed to do that, would it trash the CF ?

I actually just needed for one user and got it to work by setting him up for DEE
One of my co-workers had tripped over this once before.
had to play around with pauses, but got it to transfer by adding pause and acct. code into cell number field.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Call forward obstacle

here's my dilemma, I'm managing a MiVoice Office 250 with s/w ver 6.2.5
I'm simply trying to accomplish a immediate call forward from a station to his cell phone.
I had him forward his phone using the feature code 355
problem is, at this site they have acct. codes required at the carrier level for everything outside the local calling area, this cell is outside the area, therefore when you try to make the forward happen by calling the extension you get "please enter your acct. code" prompt from the carrier.
I've tried going into view,on-line monitor and adding PPP or ,,,,, then the acct.code and # into the digit string but no luck, I still get the "please enter your acct. code" prompt, if I manually dial the code and # the transfer succeeds but no way an outside caller will know to do so.
Any ideas within the Mitel to "trick" the system, I know a work -around is telling the carrier to let it through but initial dealings with the carrier has been ugly, if I can make it happen that would be preferred.

Mitel confirmed that some newer Rev. phones will not talk to the MIVCR.
patch in development.
Everybody said it was my wiring, sorry, wasn't the case.

Hi guys,

Anyone else in the world running this box with station side taps for recording with Mitel digital phones ?
( not my choice, I inherited this ) looking to see if anyone else can verify working on Mitel digitals,
Inter-Tels work fine, but no go with 8568,8528 Mitel digital sets.
Tracer box sees ckt as RED, LOS (loss of signal) but if I rewire jack and replace with model 8520, 8560 I green up and all is good.
Anyone else run across this ?
Mitel says it should work.
phones and recorder box connected to Mivoice Office 250 s/w ver. 6.3
MiVoice call recorder box is at 6.0 ver.
I know it's way behind but customer wants to make sure it will work before they fork out $$$$$ or we spend time for upgrade and we find out no-worky.
