MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Re: No Audio after a few minutes

Did you make sure you change the phone from Native to NAT? Look at System > Devices and Feature Codes > Phones > Ext XXXX > IP Settings > NAt Address Type: Make sure this is set to NAT.

That is set to NAT

Do you have a Processor Expansion Card on your MiVO-250? Look at System > IP Settings: Look for Static Processor Expansion Module IP Address.

We do it currently set to the same IP as the "current processor module IP address" which is an internal address.

That is also
Did you setup your NAT IP in the MiVO-250? Look at System > IP Connections > P6000 > NAT IP Address: Change it from 255.255.255.255 to the Public IP Address you are using for the phone. Also if you have a Processor Expansion Module it will need its own Public IP Address and it would be setup on P6001.

Under System>Dev and Feature Codes>IP Connection>Local>
P6011 - is set to WAN IP
P6022 Expansion Module is also set to same WAN IP.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / No Audio after a few minutes
« on: February 25, 2021, 12:10:48 AM »
Hi,

So trying to get the teleworker phone working and forwarded the ports below. We are able to make calls, Receive calls, add phones. call remote nodes.
but the audio doesn't work right. When we boot up the phone it works for a few minutes then no audio. We hear dial tone but can't hear other person. When we call the auto attendant as well there is no audio. Rebooting the phone fixes it for a few minutes.

We worked with Sonicwall and ran packet monitor and did not see any dropped packets so we are kinda at a loss as to what to try next.

We have the phone setup as NAT for the Address Type, We have the Public IP in the IP settings and the IP Connections. Any thoughts on this behavior?

Hi All,

I ended up getting my sonicwall setup for site to site vpn and that allowed the phone system to talk to each other.

There is a firewall between the two sites.

Hi All,

I was able to setup my Second Mitel 5000 system and everything is working at that site.
I want to have the system be able to 4 digit dial the primary site. I configured primary as Node 1 and secodary as node 2.
I got as far as being able to import an export configurations. I also am able to call Site 1 from Site 2 but there is no audio.
I would here it ring then dead air. The other side said they see the call come in but cant hear anything.

We have Teleworkers for the Site 1 phone system and they dont have a problem with audio. I assume I am missing a port on the firewall at site 1? I tried changing the phones locally from naitve to NAT as well and that didnt work.

HI All,

We are moving a newly acquired business to a new location and I wanted to get them on the same phone system we have.
They currently have a XBLUE phone system with 4 POTS lines going into it.

1.) Can Mitel 5000 Use POTS lines or does it have to be a PRI?
2.) Is going with a refurb system a bad idea? Local company quoted us 12k for Phone system and 15 phones.
