Have an odd problem coming back to haunt me.  Nearly three years ago we had an AX that kept losing VM ability.  No logs, ports not busied out, everything looks normal.  But the ports ring no answer when called on any of the VM ports.  We tried replacing the main controller board and the two CF cards when this happened repeatedly back then.  Suddenly the problem stopped happening.  Now it's back - a reset brings the ports back, but they go down again within hours/days.
Any ideas?

thanks!

Hi TE,
I'd have to edit quite a bit of info to post the actual capture, so I'll just copy and paste the relevant info here.  I do have the settings in the main config page and registrar page entered how you suggested, and that does not currently work for the provider.

We are currently outputting the following:
Request URI: sip:reg-gw.sip.global:5060
To: <sip:xxxxxxxxxx@reg-gw.sip.global:5060>
From:<sip:xxxxxxxxxx@reg-gw.sip.global:5060>;tag=xxxxxx

The provider told us that everything else is correct, they just want to see the "corpglobal.net" replacing the "reg-gw.sip.global on the URI, To, and From fields.
I'm guessing this should be a pretty easy replacement script at this point, but I'm still waiting to see if the customer wants to pay for the additional hardware/licensing required for this.
Thanks!

Thanks TechElectronics - would you happen to have an example of the script you wrote for this?  It's nice to have a starting point...

I have a customer who decided to go with a new line provider.  They are resold Voyant SIP trunks - Voyant is not Mitel certified, so no handy interop guides to help out.  Voyant wants the to/from fields when registering to be accountname@corpglobal.net, but they want to register to reg-gw.sip.global.  If I put the corpglobal.net into the FQDN registrar field, it does not register because Voyant does not have anything listening on that address.  Mitel tells me that it is not possible to register with a different name than we put in the FQDN field, but Voyant insists that it is possible.  They say that they have others doing it, possibly with a MBG.  Anybody else got this working?

Thanks!

I've got a Hotel with an EL lightware 19 that is having a strange problem with analog room extension randomly busying out.  It never seems to be the same port twice, just every few days another 1-3 ports busied out.  Logs show "Inject codec test alarm code 6" for these extensions.
Any thoughts?

Non-Mitel Chatter / Restrict or turn off phone service for non payment
« on: March 01, 2018, 02:58:03 PM »
Does anyone know what the laws are regarding reducing the functionality/turning off phone systems if your client does not pay their bill?
I can't seem to find any laws against it here in Minnesota.  Anybody doing this for customers who do not pay?

Thanks!

Have you done a full reboot of the MiCollab after setting up the ports? 5240 and full is correct, then reboot and wait about 15 minutes.
Good luck!

Mitel Software Applications / Specify Nupoint sync folder
« on: January 27, 2017, 05:15:38 PM »
This seems like it should be an easy one, and I am sure I have done this on the 250, but is there a place in NuPoint to specify the folder that the unified messaging emails are delivered and synced with?  Some of these users have massive inboxes, and syncing these takes way too long.
Thanks!

Mitel Software Applications / Re: NuPoint with 4025s and Analog Extensions
« on: December 09, 2016, 10:09:10 AM »
It is a standalone nupoint, and that did end up being the problem.  I've never had to add digital extensions to one of these before, so just figured they'd be similar to the IP phones that we usually add.  It works if I add them manually - pity that they don't support the flow through, but can't say there are too many people who actually want the old 4025's on these anymore anyway!

Mitel Software Applications / NuPoint with 4025s and Analog Extensions
« on: December 08, 2016, 01:27:15 PM »
I'm in the process of upgrading an EL to a 3300 with standalone NuPoint.  The 4025 sets seem to work just fine, but for some reason I can't seem to get mailboxes set up for them.  When I try to add a mailbox, I get the following message:

Failed to update phone MiVoice Business Full Phone Service [NO_DEVICE] with number 7999 (Phone Service) for user unknown on (SYSTEMNAMEDELETED): Zone ID cannot be changed for non-IP devices.

The system logs in 3300 show:

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I've got an odd error going on here - MiCollab keeps telling me that I need to run the reconciliation wizard, but when I try, I get a notice that the reconcile operation has failed due to an execution exception.  Event viewer shows a failure to delete all reconcile teable entries.
Anybody run into this before?

Thanks!

SIP On Mitel / Personal Preferred SIP Providers
« on: August 22, 2016, 03:17:01 PM »
Not sure if this is something we can discuss, but does anyone have preferred accredited SIP providers that they would share?  We are having trouble finding ones that work here in northern MN/ND.  Seems like some of the national companies don't like to play nice with the tiny telecoms that they run into in the rural areas, so calls just aren't put through.  Conversely, any providers that you don't personally recommend?
Thanks!

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: Ghost Calls to one extension
« on: May 04, 2016, 06:23:55 PM »
There is a PRI coming in -it is supplied via SIP, then converted to PRI with an adtran box.  Do you think that the ghost calls are actually from outside?  When the user gets a voicemail from the ghost calls, they appear to have come from the other extensions, but possibly they are coming from outside instead?  I have not looked at the SMDR yet, since I thought that the calls were coming from inside.

Thanks!

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Ghost Calls to one extension
« on: May 04, 2016, 10:00:48 AM »
I have a customer who is repeatedly having two different extensions that call a third extension.  When that user picks up, there is nobody there.  This happens at all hours of the day and night; if she does not pick up, the phone takes a message of dead air for just a second or two.  Any thoughts on what might be causing this?  Should I call a priest for an exorcism??
Thanks!

Hope I'm just missing something easy here - I am trying to get an analog extension to ring at the same time as a 5320e.  The user of the ip phone is licenced as an entry level UCC,as a multi-device user.  But when I try to add the analog extension to the multi device user group, I get a message that says, "the directory number is of the wrong service level."  Any thoughts on why this is happening?  if there is an easier way to do this, I'm all ears.

Thanks!
