We upgraded to the latest release today and I'm still seeing voicemail messages using TLS 1.0. Any other suggestions? I'm not seeing anywhere in programming that I can specify what TLS version to use.

We have a couple of MiVoice 250s and use them with Office 365 to forward voicemail to email via SMTP. Currently things are working fine but Microsoft is going to be disabling TLS 1.0 and 1.1 sometime in the near future so we need to be using TLS 1.2. Does anyone know how we can change the version of TLS being used? Message headers show TLS 1.0 being used. We are on version 6.2.3.53.

We have multiple facilities setup to connect back to our main facility's Mitel system for office phones. At the remote facility we have setup SIP gateways with analog lines connected to them so if emergency services are needed then they route to local facility. We also so the facility has a local number that customer's can call and then we ring multiple phones in the facility. I've got a new facility setup and SIP gateway is connected. Outgoing calls work fine over the analog line that is connected to the Gateway. Incoming calls aren't working though. Line just rings constantly when you call the number. The SIP gateway can see the call but it isn't routing the call to the hunt group I've setup. I'm not sure what I'm missing at this point. I basically copied the settings from another facility and then went in and changed the destination applications that were created specifically for this site. Any suggestions on what to check that could be preventing incoming calls from working?

We have a user that connects to our Mitel 250 system via an external IP that is NAT'd to the phone system. This has been working fine for years up until the last couple of weeks. Now when he uses the phone, there is a 10 second delay on his side before he can hear anyone on the other end. After that delay, the phone works fine until you hang up and use it again. At first I assumed there was an issue with his network since he had just recently replaced his modem and router and he wasn't having the issue prior. We have setup IP phones at two other external networks though and they experience the same issue. I've checked with our network vendor and obviously the ports are open for this external IP or the calls wouldn't work at all. I've also asked to make sure there is no DPI being performed and they are saying there isn't. Any ideas on what the issue could be? I'm at a loss for what could have caused this change in the last couple weeks.

One is 6.2.5.83 and the other is running 6.2.3.53. I've turned off enhanced integration voicemail for Office 365 users on one system and left the other system the way it has been. It has been a week and the system that still has Office 365 users just started to have processor issues again. The other system where I turned things off has so far remained stable.

Sorry for the slow response. We have a couple of Mitel systems. One of them is not accessible from the internet. The other, I'm not sure which ports are open currently. We restarted the systems last week and this afternoon we started having issues again with both phone systems processors going back to 100% and user showing almost all of that usage. Voicemail to email via enhanced integration has stopped working again. One of our vendors has been speaking with Mitel and they keep making adjustments but nothing has solved the issue yet. I'm so tired of dealing with this. Think you may have issue resolved then a week later we are back to square one. Don't understand why Mitel can't figure out what is happening in the logs. Is this Office 365 related or what? Strange that we are having the same issue on two separate systems that aren't tied to each other in any way.

Which log should I be looking at? I connected to system via SSH and ran top command and it was all root user with avdap process showing for each connection. We are using .wav file not .mp3. We've had voicemail synch like this setup for years without issue. The only changes recently have been new public IP on the system and the few users who are now using Office 365 email instead of on prem so for those users settings we put the office 365 smtp server instead of on-prem so I would imagine the issue is related to one of these two new factors but I'm not sure how to determine for sure which one is the problem.

We have a 5000 HX controller and we have been having issues lately with our system. Processor usage will go to 100% and it won't come down. It shows user as being the one using most of the processor. When this happens, voicemail email synchronization stops working. We have an on-prem Exchange server that almost all of our users are using currently. We are in the process of migrating to Office 365 and we currently have 4 or 5 mailboxes moved to Office 365 so we are in a hybrid mode currently in regards to Exchange. The email synchronization has been working with the Office 365 mailboxes but I'm wondering if this could be causing our processor issues? What can I look for in the logs that would show me what is causing this? We worked with our vendor and Mitel a couple weeks back due to similar issues and I thought the issue had been resolved but issues have since returned. Any advice would be appreciated.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Mitel 5000 and Jabro Pro 920 Headset Issues
« on: February 05, 2016, 11:48:41 AM »
We have setup several of these devices for our users and only one of them is having this issue. When an intra-company call is made to this persons phone and they pick up the call with their headset and the remote lifter, they are getting a dial tone and not the call that is coming through to them. If an outside call comes through to them, the call is answered fine on the headset. If they use the handset instead of the headset, the intra-company call is received fine as well. I swapped the Jabra with another one to rule out the device but the issue continues. What we have them doing currently is go ahead and answer the call with the headset which causes the lifter to pickup the handset and then they hit the IC button on their phone and they can then talk to the calling person, but no one else has to do this on their phone. The phone is an Intertel 8520. Any ideas on the setting that apparently needs changing to fix this?

If that doesn't work, restart all your data switches... I know it sounds strange, but I have seen corrupted ARP tables in switches cause similar issues.

Resetting switches was going to be my next step, thankfully, restarting the mail server resolved the issue.  Thanks for all your help and suggestions.

I got into the SSH connection earlier today and as expected, I can't ping the Exchange/DNS server.  I can ping any other devices on our network.  I'm going to be restarting our mail server this evening and doing some maintenance so I'm curious if that will resolve the issue.  I'll update once that has been done.  Very strange issue.

I will ask one more time... Are the 5000 and the PCs in the same subnet and VLAN? Is the mail server you are using onsite or offsite (ie. is it really a .com or is it actually a .local)? When the DNS server the 5000 is accessing is resolving the mailservers name, is it getting an internal or external IP address?
Yes, PCs and 5000 are all on the same subnet.  We aren't using any VLANs.  Our Exchange server is onsite and is on the same server as the DNS.  When pinging mail.*******.com from the DNS server that I have the 5000 using, it pings the correct internal IP.

I had something very sililar and found that my IMAP4 service wasn't running omn the eschnage server
"Copy & Forward" does not use the IMAP service, it only requires basic SMTP. Enhanced Integration requires the IMAP service.

One thing I would try is to go into the System IP Settings and set the DNS servers to 208.67.222.222 & 208.67.220.220 (OpenDNS) and reboot via software (do NOT pull the plug), then go back in and change them back to the corporate DNS servers and reboot again. Perhaps something in the network settings got corrupted even if it appears correct.

I tried this suggestion and I'm still seeing the same errors in the log.

So the DNS servers in the 5000's IP Settings can correctly resolve mail.******.com? And the 5000 can correctly access the DNS servers listed? The mail.mainlog entries are pretty self explanatory here as to the problem it is having, it is issuing a DNS query and not recieving ANY response, valid or otherwise.

Note that the "Permission denied: cannot create /var/... Frozen" is normal and not an issue here.

Every other computer I've tried that is on the same network and using the same DNS settings are able to resolve mail.*******.com correctly.  Is there something I can do from the phone system to test?

Yeah,  everything appears to be resolving correctly.  We had a power outage a couple of days ago that took down all our servers at the time and since they were brought back up the emails haven't been coming through for voicemails.
