We have a couple users that when you hit their voicemail it the caller continues to hear ringing.  The caller is actually getting into their voicemail and has no idea they are leaving a message(which can lead to some pretty interesting voicemails).   This doesn't happen every time and I have called voicemail huntgroup to make sure that all ports are answering.  When calling internally I can see on the phone when the voicemail port picks up and sometimes the ring will change to a double ring.  We do have networked voicemail and we have only seen this issue on phones that are not resident on the same controller as the voicemail.

Thanks for the post we have RAD's that go into DND several times a month due to high volume so hopefully putting them into a huntgroup does the trick.

I am an end customer and we are going to be upgrading from 7 to 8.0 UR4 (i think, not quite sure on the UR4) and before we can do anything they want to make sure that everything is properly documented on how to perform the upgrade.  Being the customer I don't have full access to Mitel documentation and I am looking for the steps to install.  I have already contacted our vendor and they haven't been much help in this department so any help would be appreciated.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Unable to launch Enterprise Manager

We moved our Enterprise Manager and OPSman server to a new vlan and gave it a new IP address and now we are unable to launch Enterprise Manager.  OPS is working just fine it is just enterprise manager.  I did notice that the Mitel Networks XML Service was not started and when trying to re-start it I got an error stating that the file (MiXMLSrv.exe) was not found.  I am hoping that this is what is causing the issue and all I need is the file, so if anyone can send me the file (swilson@tql.com) or can think of something else to try please let me know.

We had the same problems here when we out grew the capacity of one controller and now have two with voicemail. 

1. We had to give the voicemail a different number on each controller and make sure that number was in the teldir on OPSman
2. When transferring to voicemail you have to dial the correct voicemail pilot number, same for checking it on another controller.

As for the caller ID it is a setting in class of service - Display Held call ID on Transfer set it to no.  I could be wrong on this one though.

If you need more help on the voicemail let me know as my vendor wasn't helpful either and I had to figure this out myself.

The PBX is local just on a different vlan than the phones.  We did have someone outside come in a assess the network and they didn't find any abnormalities(of course we didn't have any occurrences while they were here either).  We don't have any reports of clipping but we do have what we call dead air calls.  The agents answer the phone  and do not here anyone on the other side.  We have never been able to verify if the other caller could here us or not or if they even had a problem.  A couple of the calls we tracked down were cell phones and they told us they dropped the call.

We did have a different error message in the logs today.  We had 4 sets that weren't receiving phone calls with callers in queue and we had 4 sets of these errors messages at the time of occurrence.

Unfortunately we are still have issues after we adjusted the work timer to 2.  Although we did go a whole day without any reports.  Anyone have any other ideas?

I work with jbeiting, we have been able to trace the occurrences back to following errors that always appear together.  We have our voice network on a separate vlan with QOS setup.  All calls come in on a DS3 that is routed trough an Adtran Atlas 890.  They then hit an auto attendant where callers can enter an extension or enter the day ACD queue.  Some of the symptoms of these problems are that they are unable to transfer or cancel a call that they are on.  Today someone wasn't able to logout of their phone.  It is basically locking up the phone and not allowing them to do anything.  Sometimes this corrects itself and other time the user reset their phone.  So far nothing that Mitel has recommended has worked and they are out of ideas so they recommended an upgrade from 7.1.4.9 to 8.  Our company doesn't want to pay for the upgrade unless they are sure it is going to work.
