Title: Device is not man-busied
Post by: doctora on August 23, 2010, 09:29:28 PM
I have a bad port on an analog card.  I am unable to replace the card for a couple weeks but in the mean time I want to move the user to another card.  I tried to delete the user so I could build them back up on another card but when I go to delete the selected user I get the message "Device is not man-busied".

Thanks for the help
Mark

The response is "Non-unique match"

You should be able to delete an analog port without having to busy it out first...is this an onboard analog or is this an ONS card in a pnode?  Also, if you're seeing "non-unique match" then something is likely wrong with how you're inputting the PLID number.

Try this:

Go into Maintenance Commands and enter: LOCATE EXTENSION XXXX (XXXX represents your trouble extension)

The read out should like similar to:

Card Type : On Premises Line
Circuit Location : X X X XX
Extension : XXXX

Now enter:  BUSY X X X XX (this will be the "circuit location" identified above)

You only need to man busy trunks.  Devices will delete ok.

The message that says "non-unique match" means the pbx is expecting an answer from you and it's not getting what it's expecting.
In your case, since you're trying to busy out a trunk, it's waiting for you to enter "force".
Try than and you should be just fine.
