Title: HTML Desktop toolkit
Post by: BobSpadger on February 18, 2010, 04:46:03 PM
Hi All

Sorry if this is a sily question to you folks - but we had a 3300 ICP installed last year.

I'm looking to get hold of the desktop toolkit - we have 5340 phones. Although we had the system installed by BT - getting an answer out of them on this is somewhat painful!

Thanks

I honestly haven't played with the toolkit, however if my dealer wasn't helping I would contact Mitel and ask help....

I have also asked my dealer for the toolkit and it sorta has just dropped down on the priority list. I would like to play with it, but what does it really help with. I guess if you really want your users to see your logo or something. I am sure by my comment you can tell I have not read up on it that much.

Has anyone used it before and if so to do what?

Carlos

We have the Mitel Communications Director at a customer site, after purchusing and downloading the license, I enabled one of the licenses on a 5340.  I used the sample branding application as a base, I packaged, uploaded to the controller, but right now when i go to the screen to select the branding application to be used on the phone it is still blank. I am about to get in touch with tech support one how to get that rolling.

The HTML toolkit is really cool, I use it all the time for customers, mainly for branding and screen savers. This is downloadable from mitel online, through your MOL account.

Mitel100,

Have you used this for the MCD?  I am trying to get it going on ours. Right now it's not showing up in the user and device form under html applications.  I packaged a "SoftKeyBranding" and uploaded it to the controller but it is not listed in the branding applications selection box.

I havent went to the command line and submitted the htmlappupgrade command yet as well, was curious to know if it will reboot the phones.

HTML toolkit is available from Mitel on Line. If you dont have access to it then you will need to go through your dealer BT (good luck ::))
